- A twister can be a flexible part of a production line, and can easily be added or changed to allow a wide range of processes to be performed such as emptying, cleaning and date marking.
This twister turns cans through 180° in a food production line, usually to enable date marking or labelling.
The twister is installed with a very slight fall of only 10°, which means that it is self-emptying, so there is no need for the items to be pushed or conveyed through the twister. It is particularly suited for production lines like the one shown here, where the items come one at a time or slightly spaced out.
For this to be possible with such a slight inclination, we use a very special food grade material with minimal friction which also prevents the items passing through the twister from being damaged.
The design of our twisters is rather unique compared to other and older types as they only comprise two pieces. This helps to ensure the very low level of friction, but also prevents any bacteria build-up in the twister, as well as making it very easy to clean.
The compact design greatly simplifies replacing one twister with another, and in most cases it is possible to do so without the use of tools. This guarantees flexible production, where you can quickly switch to a different sized twister or to completely different items.
