Quite the supergroup we got here with members from all four generations of Kpop.
1st gen: BoA (3:50), a soloist who debuted in 2000 at the young age of 13. Often referred to as the Queen of K-Pop with over 22 years of experience, she has had an immense impact not only on Korean pop music itself, but also in bringing Kpop to Japan.
2nd gen: Taeyeon (0:55) and Hyoyeon (5:49) from Girls' Generation (aka SNSD), debuted in 2007. A very influential and legendary group, they have earned the honorary nickname "The Nation's Girl Group". Their debut song "Into the New World" is an unofficial second national anthem of sorts. Over their 15-year history, they've had many hits, trying out various different styles of music. And all of their members also have solo careers at this point.
Taeyeon is the group's leader and main vocalist. She started a very successful solo career in 2015 and having now listened to all of her albums, I can safely say that she is my favourite singer. Ever. She released her most recent album in February last year and the title track INVU was my favourite song for most of the year (until Ateez came in, said SYKE and released Halazia).
Hyoyeon is the main dancer and main rapper of SNSD. As a soloist, she has become a DJ and EDM producer, with some hip hop influences as well. It's a bit hit or miss for me. I love her EDM bangers like "Punk Right Now" and "Badster" but her most recent song "Deep" is a bit too abrasive for me.
3rd gen: Seulgi (1:02) and Wendy (4:32) from Red Velvet, debuted in 2014. I've told you a bit about Red Velvet under your reaction to their christmas collab with aespa. So I'll just talk about these two members.
Seulgi is the main dancer and lead vocalist of RV. She recently made her solo debut with "28 Reasons". Quite dark, quite atmospheric, very Seulgi.
Wendy is the main vocalist. Her solo debut was back in 2021 with "Like Water". The entire EP is full of ballads. Her voice is beautiful and perfect for that but I also hope she explores some different genres in the future because I'm not huge on ballads tbh.
4th gen: Karina (5:43) and Winter (1:39) from aespa, debuted in 2020. You've heard a bunch of their songs already. Since the group is still pretty new, none of the members have solo projects yet. So I'll just mention that Karina is the leader, main dancer, lead rapper and sub vocalist, and Winter is the lead vocalist and lead dancer.

This group is epic, if you are a fan of kpop, you should know that this is iconic. Legends, idols of idols, etc. It's the dream team.
These talented ladies are all from the same label, SM Entertainment (aka SMTown), a label that really loves to mix and match members of their groups to form special "supergroups." This is the girls version, a mix of ladies from Girls Generation, Red Velvet, solo performer BoA, and Aespa. The male version is called SuperM and is a mix of members from NCT, WayV, SHINee, and EXO. Another track from GOT the Beat is "Step Back" and SuperM has quite a few great tracks, I'd recommend "Jopping" as a great one to start with. SM also mixes male and female group members together sometimes as well, such as the collab between Aespa, WayV, NCT "Zoo."
Oh hell yeah !! Its a group composed from different SM group/solo idols (AESPA, Red Velvet, Girls Generation & BOA). This is the second released single, check out Step Back it slaps !!
have released their first mini album today, this group is a mix of members from other SM groups like Red Velvet, Aespa or Girls Generation. Last year they released their debut song and it's also great. SM Entertainment has great artists like EXO, Shinee, WayV and NCT from these groups the male unit SuperM comes out, you should also give them a chance their songs are crazy. I hope you continue to discover more of the SM artists, I will continue here insisting on NCT 😂😂😂

Dem Jointz is the producer on this track and once you get to listen to more of his productions you'll recognise his work almost instantaneously when you hear it the next time even without knowing the credits. He is extremely talented in the sense his music is very non-commercial and beats keep switching up every now and then. The variations and change of genres is insane and yet it all comes together so smooth. He is not everyone's cup of tea and understandably so. He has done a lot of NCT songs and honestly they are one of fave title/b sides tracks ever!
*GOT the Beat* is SM Entertainment's All Star female group like *SuperM* is their All Star male group. GOT the Beat consists of:
- *BOA* soloist (1st generation)
- *Taeyeon* & *Hoyeon* of Girls Generation (2nd generation)

This is their first Mini Album however the group debuted together back in 2020 with the song Step Back.
These members are some of the most recognisable in the kpop industry for their talents in vocal and dance

So they are all from SM Entertainment like WayV and NCT. They are from different groups put into a supergroup.
They did a male version before the female version. Idk if you already reacted to SuperM if not you should do it;)
The guys are called the Avengers of Kpop and actually dont know if the girls got the same nickname or a different one.
I was actually surprised that we got a comeback since they did less than the guys, but 2023 will be a good year it seems.
Having BoA in this supergroup in my opinion is a smart move.

the dream team fr, these women are from 4 kpop generations btw(all under SM entertainment) , 1st generation is BOA she have been in the game for 20+ years, and then u have taeyeon and hyoyeon from SNSD (2nd gen) seulgi and wendy from RV (3rd gen) and the current 4th gen leaders imo from aespa are Karina and Winter
Sm entertainment is the house of experienmentel music so they always make beats that are wired now but they are used 5 years later with other grps

Omg, I've just realised you can react to hyo (she's the blonde raper from this mv) and soeyon from gidle. They have a song together with a rapper Loopy, and it's called "dessert". I feel like you might like it. Also, hyo has her own songs released, and I FREAKING love her voice and the way she uses it. But, her songs sound a bit strange to me, so you might like it or you'll hate it....

It isn't necessary - some of the biggest songs in kpop have no rapping - but most groups don't put out title tracks with zero rapping. Partly because it's an expected element and plays into the genre/vibe switch ups, and I think partly because they don't trust (or train) the rappers to sing. Funnily enough a lot of those no-rap hits are from SM artists like Red Velvet, SNSD and Aespa - all represented in GOT the Beat, with the last two groups contributing the rappers, Hyoyeon (1:45) and Karina (0:52).
