Open Adrenaline, up the power limit by 15%, pick fast memory timings and boost the core clock to 2800Mhz and you have even more value for money. AMD is using chips that were not good enough for a 7900XT in this card to improve their yield, but they downclocked it not to cannibalise their other cards. It’s an amazing deal.
You are actually right on the money but in more games at 1440 P resolution, the 7900 GRE from AMD still hits a very good sweet spot for those who are into building PCs!

AMD needs to fire all of its personnel who are responsible for the drivers because AMD's hardware is incredible but its drivers is what hold it back from being on par with Nvidia
I always shit on AMD drivers, but these 2 weeks with the 7900gre have been fine. Not perfect, but fine. Far far better than my experience with the 6950xt and 5700xt

Besides, with vram OC It seems a tad faster than the stock 6950xt, but honestly I did not run benchmarks, so I might be wrong

50$ more gets a 4070 super which has better RT for many games with slightly poorer rasterization so if RT is people's priority then I'd say go with the 4070 Super. I'd 7900 GRE has great rasterization performance in price point. All GPUs are too expensive at the moment though so you are not wrong
