Honestly, I think Cadie is a lovely young lady, well mannered, classy & kindhearted ~ She is responsible & dignified for her age, and certainly a daughter anyone would be proud to love... That said, especially considering her homeland's culture I think Cadie should ultimately decide. She can always change her mind, too... & back again, for that matter!
Cadie is such a beautiful person. I'm so glad to see her asserting her independence and preferences. I think she'll be able to decide what feels right for her. She looks beautiful no matter what❤
Ear piercings are done as young as at 2-3 months in India. Many a times its done by the gold jeweler. Basically its done before babies start understanding pain I guess. Piercings are very stylish here in India but its Cadie's choice entirely.😊 That lemon was probably a ball of cotton dipped in turmeric an antiseptic. 😊
@@BMarie774 in fact, much more painful for newborns. Their bodies are extremely delicate. They just are completely helpless and they can’t do or express anything loudly, that’s all. Doing piercings to newborns and toddlers is inhuman and should be banned. Piercings shouldn’t be done at least until the child is able to understand that it will be painful and express their dissent or consent.
I love that you’re trying to preserve her culture :) She’s gonna wanna fit in with the American culture and her peers in her teens, so you guys doing this shows your forethought. Great parenting🌸
@@deepshikasen7800 Who said? Do you represent all of Bengal? Nose piercings is literally a part of our culture, from a very young age. Septum piercings are very very common amongst larger Bengali populace. Now if you are from an upper caste, city-centric background, you wouldn't know Bengali culture of the entire land.
My daughter has a good job in US but she wears a press nose ring invariably every day for work. We are Indians. That’s a beauty ornament. Caddie would love it as she grows.
Yeah exactly its a press nose ring and hence convenient!! Getting permanent nose piercing is painful for the kid unless she really wants it when she grows up.
I'd say wear it. Teenage is all about experimenting and figuring out your style. Yes it's a cultural thing, but it can also be just a Cadie Chandler thing. I personally think that a ring would suit you better. But if Mom is not okay with it, we can wait. I'm an Indian and I got my piercings at 4 and 19. In my Mum's culture, girls get ear piercings right before they are baptised. She got hers when she was a month old baby. I was given a choice. My parents started talking about piercings since I was 3 and at 4.5 years I consented to getting my ears pierced. At 19, my last year of teenage, I got my upper lobe piercing and I prefer wearing a ring on that one. Some people get pierced at piercing shops, some at beauty parlours and some at jewellery shops by traditional piercers. I got my piercings from the traditional piercers at the jewellery shop and they use either a gold wire or a silver wire to pierce - depends on the metal you're choosing to wear afterwards. Mine were gold studs each time so that's that. Hope that helps!
It looks beautiful Cadie ! Everything about you is beautiful. It’s obviously up to you but my opinion is that you keep it as it honours your heritage. ❤ from Nova Scotia Canada 🇨🇦
If you see indian girl most of them having nose pearcing even I do (but i don't like to wear anything ) at 7:07 you talked about that she wore that big earring to nose actually when you see the indian bride it's the part of her wedding jwellery and that is same like she's wearing in her ear and for Bengali bride or any bride she wear that.... not any random material but it's gold ..... And for regular .....mostly our parents give us gold nose ring or studs not too big but according to girl's choice
In Brazil babies (mostly girls) usually come out of the hospital with their ears pierced already but nowadays more parents are choosing to let the kids choose when to pierce. I love this on Cadie!
LOVE WATCHING YOU GUYS. FROM THE CARIBBEAN ISLAND OF TRINIDAD. WATCHING CADIE SINCE SHE LEFT INDIA. SHE IS GROWING UP TO BE SUCH A BEAUTIFUL YOUNG LADY. YOU ALL ARE SUCH WONDERFUL PARENTS❤❤❤
In Brazil, many girls already leave the hospital with their ears pierced. Lately, people have been opted not to do it more than before. I had my ears pierced when I was about 6, I think I asked my mom to do it. I remember the process very well and don't remember the pain at all even though I was very nervous.
I think she should keep it! It’s 100% up to her but I think it is apart of her culture and can always remind her where she came from and where she is now!

It is not a tradition in the Eastern parts of India either. I am a Bengali from Calcutta, currently in the US (for close to a decade now). I don't know anyone my age or even my mom's or grandmom's age with a nose piercing. I am 30 years old too. So for a girl of Cadie's age, getting a nose piercing as a baby is quite surprising and definitely rare.
In India and in rural area the villagers would peirce the ears or nose with a thread and needle which they would be treadle it through the nose and then they tie a knot now we in other parts of India they would peice the nose ring by the wire of the nose studs n it is usually done at the age of 1 years
In India, it is done by the people who make gold/silver jewelry. Ear and nose piercing are done when kids are very small, but definitely not by her mother anyway. Mother would have been holding her for sure. Cadie - it is a part of your past. Keep it. You look beautiful.
❤In case you decide to keep it then most importantly look for the nose rings having smaller length🎉enough to secure the ring. That would allow you to have enough space before other side of your nose
Caddie is such a beautiful young lady. Please keep it on if it makes you comfortable, if not when you are ready. Lovely parents n kids. I have two girls , grown women now had their ears pierced when they were 3 mths old babies n they were good it’s like a tradition from where I came from.❤️🙏
I am not Indian or American, but I have followed this channel since Cadie's gotcha day. The decision is ultimately up to her, but personally I'd say she should keep it but not frequently wear anything on it, especially as a young child like Mum said. In my opinion, if she starts wearing accessories over it now, it may cause the hole to become more pronounced over time due to tissue wearing as we grow. My ears were pierced when I was a little girl, but I hardly wore any earrings or studs growing up. Now as an adult, I only make use of them on special occasions, and tend to surprise and amuse people who would otherwise never knew I was pierced! Cadie's beautiful, with or without the accessories. And I agree with mum. She can make use of that aesthetic when she is older.
I tried nose piercing 3 times because I loved it but my hole never stayed open. It is a culture thing but I was never forced by my parents to get it done. It's just it is very elegant and beautiful. It is absolutely upto Cadie it looks wonderful on you specially the small one. ❤ Before me I have seen an entire generation wear it 😅❤ my mom, grandmom, great grandmom, my sister , name it. I bet it wasn't a 🍋 lemon.😂 May be cotton deep into turmeric solution or any kind of yellow antiseptic. I was my nose pierced three times at jewellery shop when I am around 6yrs,8 yr,12yr respectively through thin and sharp metal wire before piercing they apply chemical (which give cooling effect). I personally don't like it that much but it is my tradition so have to do it.
Indian girl here! Had ear piercing when I was lesser than an year old Also as a kid I would see people have nose studs and ask for them so my mom would buy stud bindis and put on my nose!
Hi Cadie, it looks great on you. I think you should keep it. It’s always upto you. With or Without you are beautiful dear Cadie! Sending lots of love and warmth to you and the Entire family! Beautiful family as well! ❤️
Agree with mom, the hoop is too much for a 12yo. And I personally don't like nose rings. Here in India, they're like an extra ornament. Usually women(most) get it done after they get married, but it also depends on the culture & religion(almost all Muslim & most Hindu women get it at some point in their lives). I hope this helps sweet Cadie in her decision ❤
It's up to you Cadence, but if you can't decide and really want our opinion I would say no. Keep it natural without any accessories, it's always more beautiful that way.
I know in America piercing is really big deal for teens and in India it's very common, so cadie its your choice if you want to keep it or not, I will respect your decision 🥰
I'd say keep it. But look online there are a lot of sizes and styles. They have some that twist in to hold them in place. But most importantly do what you're most comfortable with.
also, i think cadie should keep the nose stud if she wants as she gets older since its apart of her indian culture 😍 nose studs are unique and beautiful
My grandmom pierced my ear lobes with a needle that was heated, when I was v young.dont rem the pain at all.only that she pampered Me a lot afterwards.when my nose was pierced I was already a mom,so the pain I remember .it was done with a gold wire with a sharp pointy edge ,that was heated nd sanitized.the wire was then twisted into a loop...like a hoop...it was done professionally by a gold smith..when the wound healed i put a dimond stud .and its been there, ever since.but now I hv a cute diamond flower.Cadie uv grown into a beautiful young girl with a dazzling smile .a Dimond stud will suit u just fine .but do chose sumthing u r comfortable with .all d best ..❤❤
I think it looks beautiful. Keep it. I am of Indian origin Austrian. I love my nose stud so much. I wish I could have sent you a picture . Be proud of your heritage just as much as your parents are of it. Each of you are so blessed to have eachother.
It's totally up to you cadie.. but I think it would be cool to keep it! Since you already have the piercing why not embrace it, just something to remember your past ❤ But if you're not comfortable with it, let it go.. you can always get it re-pierced in the future some time.
I love it Cadie, but do what makes you comfortable. The only one who can decide is you. It does look beautiful on you, as you are a beautiful young lady, inside and out.
I just wanted to say when you do that, you need to flood up. The sink, so they don't fall down. And I'm so glad that you're keeping something. That was yours when you were younger. I wish you guys would record more I miss you all😊
Please keep it :-) have been living in India for a year and always admired the natural beauty of indian women - I think a nose stud is underlining it - the second smallest fits best I think love from Germany
It’s ultimately up to Cadence and her parents. But if I had an opinion I’d say keep it, just to honor part of your heritage and you look absolutely beautiful with it. It may be controversial to many as they may not understand her wearing it at her age. But when you think about it, if she were back in India it would be normal. I’m East Indian from Trinidad 🇹🇹 and I pierced mine at 15 Years Old. And my mom did hers at like 14 Years.
In India not a lot of parents force the kids to get traditional nose piercings anymore...ear piercing, yeah almost everyone does them, where they call the person who does the piercing and a bunch of rituals before its actually done... for me it was done that way but later the holes were closed since i didnt wear the earring after i got pierced as a baby so they did the gun shot method
The age at which I got my ears pierced was 3 and my mother got my ears pierced from a pharmacist. Generally they get their ears pierced from a goldsmith here, and they do it directly with a gold earring. But yes the ears piercing is generally 11months to 4years, the younger the better... But nose piercing happens during marriage... Although I got it for fashion.
Aww Cadie so sweet of you to even ask ❤. Love that. Dear it looks nice on you...its your choice entirely. If you come to India you'll be spoilt for choice for nose pins👍🏻😊
As an Indian I didn't know they do it with spoon and lemon and everything but most PPL go to professionals(imo) and may be it's been done btw 6 month to 4-5 yr between
She is a sweet girl ❤ i think she doesnt need to wear it. These days we have nosepins which can be worn without getting pierced. Its simple to wear by just pressing it whenever she wants to. No need to wear it all the time. Rest its upto her.
Cadie is a beautiful young girl. With that being said I don’t think she needs a nose ring for a few more years. With time comes changes. The choice is hers though. ❤
I think you look cute with-it in. And if it's part of your culture and heritage and your parents are trying to help you preserve a little bit of that, I'd say do it. Especially since you like it too.
No we dont do like that. We do it with a metal with a sharp end it doesnt even hurt that much .just a pinch . Mine never got heated or anything. They do apply ointmemt or turmeric and coconut as a natural antiseptic.
Hi Cadie, it is normal for ear pearcing but not for nose at that young age... I'm an Indian lady usually we will start to do nose pearcing around the age of 18 and above but it depends of individual likes..if you wanted it you can do .. otherwise can just no need to do that.. You look so beautiful and I have been following your channel since you were young..such a beautiful family that everyone wished for ❤. It depends on you if you like to keep it in you as a remembrance of your Bengali heritage..it is up to you my dear ... ❤❤

But nose piercing happens during marriage... Although I got it for fashion.
Keep it if Mum dad are fine with it. You are going to grow up to be a beautiful young lady. God Bless.
Aww Cadie so sweet of you to even ask ❤. Love that. Dear it looks nice on you...its your choice entirely. If you come to India you'll be spoilt for choice for nose pins👍🏻😊
She is so pretty 💞💕
As an Indian I didn't know they do it with spoon and lemon and everything but most PPL go to professionals(imo) and may be it's been done btw 6 month to 4-5 yr between
She is a sweet girl ❤ i think she doesnt need to wear it. These days we have nosepins which can be worn without getting pierced. Its simple to wear by just pressing it whenever she wants to. No need to wear it all the time. Rest its upto her.
Cadie is a beautiful young girl. With that being said I don’t think she needs a nose ring for a few more years. With time comes changes. The choice is hers though. ❤
I think that piercing is more for a hoop cause it’s at the edge
Her beautiful spirit is showing through.....she is soooooooooo pretty....
Looks good on you. Keep it!
Please upload videos atleast once in a week ( if you are busy .. otherwise I wish to watch your videos everyday) . I am from India ( Kerala ). Love you 😍

It's Your Choice Cadie, You are beautiful either or. By the way the stud suits You Cadie. I'm Indian from South Africa who doesn't have a nose ring, simply coz I don't prefer it, but MY Mom who is 83 years now has one from a very young age. Ear piercing for My Daughter was done when she was 1 year at a Jewelry store .Lotzzz of Love, Blessings and Prayer to An Amazing Family from South Africa ❤🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🇿🇦
I’m Indian but born in Canada…I got my nose pierced in my early 20s and it definitely was because of my heritage.
