The most remarkable element of this piece is its originality. Truly great composers always seem to move music forward, challenging the listener. Wow!

ive been looking for years. my friend found caroline shaw through another close friend who performed this piece for a college octet, and actually has a copy of the sheet music. been trying to atleast get pictures of it for ages

I’ve been sort of put off by a lot of choral music cus I had a very bad experience with the choir teacher at my school. This piece seriously opened me back up to why I love choral music in the first place. It’s insane to me how much you can do with just the human voice.
