Multimode Magnetic Stackers for Gonvvama

  • Since 2008, Biele Group has supplied Stackers with Pushers that are typically used for structural automotive blanks. This “traditional” stacker uses pushers to separate the blanks from the magnetic belts at the stacking position, and the blanks are previously centered at the runout conveyor, working in continuous mode. Then, these blanks are conveyed through the stacker in a start-stop mode till the the stacking point where they are pushed down with high stacking accuracy.
    However, Biele has developed a new magnetic stacker with pushers which was able to work without centering the blanks previously. Therefore, these blanks can be used for laser welding as the edges are not in contact with stoppers or centering elements.
    Thanks to the fact that these stackers do not use stoppers, they provide a high flexibility to produce and stack different shaped/geometry pieces. Moreover, this state-of-the-art stacker allowed high accuracy since the blanks are stacked with a precision of ± 2 mm.
    In addition, this new-developed magnetic stacking technology allows multimode stacking, so that it can be connected to the press with two different working alternatives regarding the runout conveyor: both in traditional Continuous Mode using stoppers and in Start-Stop Mode without stoppers. This feature combines the benefits of both technologies to provide the best efficiency, accuracy and flexibility when stacking both structural and exposed blanks.
