If this were a sitcom, Greg would be the guy that everyone would hate because he would be the dude always breaking character from laughter. I love every second of it.
Going on you guys saying Marty doesn't have a "Biff" of his own. Is it possible Biff had a daughter (named Miffy in my head canon.) who bullied Marty's sister, Linda and was Griff's mother.
@8:40 Michael J Fox saw Eddie Murphy doing 2-3 roles at once in a movie. Coming To America came out in 1988 where Eddie and Arsinio Hall played 2-3 different characters each. Back To the Future Part 2 was 1989 😊.
i think a lot of people disliked this movie because it took on a very dark tone, george a main character in the original was murdered, Biff was just looked at as a bully in the first one but in this one he is a homicidal maniac the dark tone made people very uncomfortable while the original was innocent aside from the mother son awkwardness
I think I like 3 better than this one but the ending is one of the best endings ever and highly quotable. Sometimes I just go and look up the ending because it is so hype.
Maybe Marty's whole "chicken" thing might be a symptom from being raised by the George from the new timeline? The new George is more confident. His brother and sister changed so he must of had changed too. Makes you wonder if him and new Marty merged? Does he have memories of his life with his new family and life? He never had the truck in the old timeline so would he have gotten in the accident if he never went back in time? Whoa this heavy...
David Flores On the commentary track of the movie the director just said it was something they weren’t planning to have as a through line in the original but they decided on it for the second and third
He wasn't raised by the George of the new timeline & he clearly doesn't have memories of his new life, since he was so surprised at all the changes. The Marty that disappeared with the DeLorean at the end of the movie is that timeline's Marty. Marty essentially is in an alternate rewritten timeline; as the prime version, he has his original timeline memories & personality.
Also like to add why I loved Part 3 is that is part of a hollywood 90's era cowboy movies, which were more fun and less dour and depressing like they were with sphagetti westerns.
Ya know, appreciation comment for Tim. Explaining the Kevin inappropriate moment and why it was thing earlier. He didn’t need to, but just a great explanation.
About the staircase scene, there are places that have those double staircases. One going to even number floors and the other to odd number floors. It’s uncommon, but they do exist.
What's funny is actually, based on interviews on the DVD, the filmmakers never intended to make a sequel, and had no clue what the future would hold, so they decided to make the future a running joke. They wanted nothing to do with the future and did their best to make a shit ton of gags, while still setting up story points, so that they could get out of the future and tell the stories that were interesting to them. The future was required because of the ending of the first movie. They also didn't want Jennifer in the sequels, one too many characters to juggle, which is why she is on the fringe of the story and ultimately not in Part 3. Had they known they'd make a sequel, there'd be no Jen and they'd have gone all throughout time and had ridiculous adventures. Bonus material, gotta love it.
I'm surprised they didn't mention Griff's female friend hitting the pillar outside the courthouse mall. The stunt performer was hospitalized but recovered thankfully.
When old Bifff steals the time machine, the movie is basically over. Once old Biff goes back and alters time, there is no way for him to return to the original future timeline to return the delorean for doc and marty to reverse the timeline. I love these movies nonetheless. Time movies are my favorite but most flawed movies.
I no longer watch this movie or Part III because the year 2015 is done now, but I certainly wouldn’t want to forget this movie or Part III either because if it hadn’t been for them, I wouldn’t have turned a foreshadowed date into a party or decided that the original Back to the Future would be my favorite movie after that!
How this podcast came to be. They were all sitting watching movies together and Tim said “ Using my brain is hard! Can you guys please explain all these movies to me like you would a 5 year old?” And then Kinda funny in review began...
Best one in the franchise. Sure, the first one is a classic and right behind this one. But Part 2 is so much fun and there is so much time traveling going on. You just get it all in this movie. Past, Alternate Present, Future. It's all there. And that ending! When Martin comes running and that music cue kicks in. Goosebumps!
The deleted scene you guys are talking about shows Griff literally disappear from existence as the DeLorean goes back to the past. He didn't have a heart attack.
I think they were saying that even without showing Biff disappear, he was clearly in distress exiting the time machine, and you could chalk it up to an old man having a medical emergency.
Kevin: I like back to the future 2 more than 1 Andy: Its all good Baby The KF Best Friends: We really like Spider-man 2 Still! The KF Crew: Your opinion is wrong, you idiots haven't watched it in years
Something that’s always bothered me...how does Old Biff bring the Delorean back to the future where he has the heart attack? Once he handed young Biff the magazine, old Biff should have ended up in a 2015 timeline where Biffs a millionaire! Doc and Marty should be stuck in the future without a car🤷🏻♂️
Because he left before Young biff actually utilized the Magazine. But of course when he goes back to 2015 that’s AFTER Biff eventually made use of the magazine. There was a small window of time after he initially handed the magazine to young Biff and that young Biff actually putting it to use. So old Biff could exist there in the past with young Biff until Young Biff made a big bet on a sport and became a millionaire and radically change his life thus vanishing the old Biff.
Back to the Future Part 1 is the better movie storytelling & plot wise but cos I love that movie so much, the time-meddling of it in Part 2 is the most entertaining part of this franchise. Plus all the time-travelling & it affecting the timeline is so good
The thing is, the creators of BTTF just put themselves in a bad situation because of the ending of the first movie. The ending of the first movie was just meant to be a funny ending, they never intended to make a sequel. But since they then did, they had to somehow explain why Doc wanted Marty and Jennifer to go to the future to save their kids. It's difficult to come up with a much better explanation than your son fucks up his life. You just have to throw logic out of the window there and just enjoy the fun.
Part 2 is arguably the weakest of the 3 movies. But it’s easily the most fun and imaginative in the series. You definitely have to suspend “logic” with them going into the future, but given the ending of the first movie (which, by Zemeckis and Gale’s admission, was never intended to be a setup for a sequel), you had to pay it off somehow. I think Part 1 & 3 are better made movies, and have way more heart and a less frenetic pace, but Part 2 is just so goofy, imaginative and fun. I love that “Avengers Endgame” very much pays direct homage to this movie. Great entry to the BTTF trilogy
Time for my favorite one! Let’s see how much they like or dislike the second one! I imagine one of them (Bet it’s Tim lol) is gonna be all over the plot holes/time travel inconsistencies haha
I enjoyed this. First podcast I've listened to from you guys, I'll definitely listen to the other BTTF ones. However, I know it's an in depth review, but you're looking too much into it. It's just supposed to be fun. Not everything is to be taken literal. If you want that try another serious adult movie lol
Part 2 is fun for the future looksie, the replaying scenes with new stuff, and extra Biff. But overall, the story does suck in comparison to 3 and is easily the weakest of the trilogy.
@1:14:00 There's this very short and small moment..the only good piece of acting from this Jennifer. When she's trying to sneak behind Older Marty playing guitar, as he's strumming, she turns and has this baffled and confused look on her face... It's not cause he's bad at it, but it's because he's playing the same tune that he played in teh first movie on stage during rehearsals in the beginning. She was remember that he used to play it when he was young
I kinda loathe this movie. Most of it doesn’t make any sense. Completely changes Marty’s character and Doc becomes a bumbling idiot. The 3rd one is absolutely better than the 2nd one. By far. The tone is similar and Doc is actually the smartest man in the town. Edit: Of course Kevin like this one more. What an idiot
Looking forward to my Tuesdays in quarantine because of these guys!!! Thanks 🙏
Who the hell knew his sister was played by him? I'm just now learning this...holy shit.
I knew I was attracted to her for a reason.
Mike’s Reef Michael J. Fox plays a convincing teenage girl, that's all I'm saying
Always...

Going on you guys saying Marty doesn't have a "Biff" of his own. Is it possible Biff had a daughter (named Miffy in my head canon.) who bullied Marty's sister, Linda and was Griff's mother.
That'd be an interesting twist
The intro might be long but the Alan Silvestri score is what made it worthwhile
@8:40 Michael J Fox saw Eddie Murphy doing 2-3 roles at once in a movie. Coming To America came out in 1988 where Eddie and Arsinio Hall played 2-3 different characters each. Back To the Future Part 2 was 1989 😊.

About the staircase scene, there are places that have those double staircases. One going to even number floors and the other to odd number floors. It’s uncommon, but they do exist.
Marty grabbed the matchbook because he understands that it'll change if they change things, just like his picture in the first one changed.
What's funny is actually, based on interviews on the DVD, the filmmakers never intended to make a sequel, and had no clue what the future would hold, so they decided to make the future a running joke. It's finally hitting me. This is ultimate GoG mode, where all five best friends are in their own living rooms talking to each other. Epic.

I don't think I've ever laughed as hard at anything as I did when Greg called his Amazon Echo a fucking bitch.
Appalled you teased us with Kevins Hat podcast and then just didnt do it
Marty always says "The Doc" when talking about him to a third person in all 3 movies.
Honestly I think I love this one more than the first. When they go back into the first movie, I'm all for it!!
Are you crazy Andy? The jacket? The shoes? The pizza? All those things are making the movie even more awesome than it already is. :D

"Strategically placed guitar"
What is the time stamp for when they start dying of laughter??

Greg looks like he’s ready to give someone a tattoo wearing that black glove
1:10:54 ”Call me lord of the manor.”
Greg looks especially good today!
6:05 Nick in the void!!!
My favorite of the two movies personally
Didn’t know it could happen but Nick looks EVEN OLDER.
I kept waiting for a Time Cop reference
They control the weather in the future...why would it be weird that there's a terrible rain storm in the afternoon?
Pizza hut commercial before teenage mutant ninja turtles!!! Memory just came back!! Had Goldberg from Mighty Ducks in it!
Holy Shit, Greg looks Hawt!!! Also we need Indy in Review
"Off in the distance...
Interesting tidbit... Michael J Fox and Lea Thompson are the same age IRL, in fact they were born only 10 days apart.
There's 3 Deloreans in 1955 at one point.

Oh and it's Red Lobster not Sizzlers.

bad situation? hah!
Nick's right. Kevin is on Team Biff. He ships Boreainne / Lorriff. I'm Team George.
When are you guys gonna react to Tales From The Crypt: Demon Knight?
Great Scott! x2
I never noticed they changed her actor.

Nick is 100% correct. Bell peppers have no fucking place on pizza. They are disgusting on it.
She's not out banging Griff, whatever age he is, he's just been arrested, he's in fucking jail now

you guys are just haters! Elisabeth Shue is the best.

Yes, it's a kinda shitty movie with all the screaming she does and the twisted nature of cult magic and mayhem.
