It was the right thing to do Sarah hands down. The white washed roof looks really nice it gives the room a sense of space I love it. The furniture you chose is nice and homey and the accents are spot on. The hero piece of course is the fire place it looks amazing the marble is super nice. I agree with you about the vinyl another excellent choice for functionality the colour is just right, all in all it’s a gorgeous add on which I bet you guys use all the time it has beautiful views it would make for a nice place for cocktail hour lol. Thank you Sarah for another wonderful video. The porch conversion is fabulous, definitely the right way to deal with a little used room. The vinyl flooring is every mothers dream. The addition of the fireplace with the wood storage is very sleek and yet still rustic. The wall of storage units are amazing, they blend in so well, you don't realise how many there are. Now that you have a second living area you realise that you don't have to retreat to your room to get some peace and quiet! Especially with teens and loud music! Congratulations on another beautiful renovation.

Oooh, yummy !!! Seasonally comfy & cosy! !!! It's like you can go outside any time of the year but when it's cold & damp you're comfortable!
It is incredible! Love everything! Best part for me is that you feel surrounded by water on all 3 sides. It isn't a porch anymore, it's a peninsula. 💖

WOW! It’s stunning! Everything you explained to us as to why you choose and planned and executed everything just makes sense, it just works! Love the inky blues, the crisp whites, the natural wicker furniture, the warm tones of the coffee table...that shiny deep blue cupboard as you enter from outside, those discreet white cupboards, just the planning alone is amazing. You nailed this one. And Mr. Exterior, love the two upper windows. What a beautiful, inviting space. 👍👍💝💝💝😊
It feels so luxurious to be able to get 16 minutes of one room reveal! On the HGTV shows I always felt gypped that I only got 30 seconds of Sarah and Tommy talking about the finished product. I feel so delightfully spoiled by this series, thank you!!

So many wonderful choices! Thank you for letting us watch your process and understand your thinking. To think that a well known designer would choose Ikea cabinets and vinyl flooring is frankly very freeing. I also really appreciate that you are doing your reveal one space at a time, and not sweeping through, quick photo after quick photo, expecting us to absorb the whole thing in any meaningful way. We want to learn the hows and whys of what you did, and this gives us that. It’s wonderful, all the way around.
Beautiful remodel - finishing out the porch was the best decision! Love the white wash ceiling. I would paint the walls and trim a very soft beige or taupe so the room isn't so blinding with the white.

Love the two little windows above the picture window. Perfect to open just those two windows with the front/side doors and get a nice cross breeze. Living on the water is very hard on a building. You, your husband & your team (family & hired carpenters) did an amazing job. Love this sun porch = now 4 seasons (?). Maybe. Thank you for sharing your home with all of us!! Amazing room Sarah love it. The fireplace is beautiful. Never underestimate an Ikea couch, I have one and I love it.... and I love that the covers can be removed and washed! Plus the frame has a 10 year warranty!
Oh wow, it turned out perfectly! Love, love, love it. We have that flooring in our basement we did a couple of years ago and it’s stellar! Also we added a necessary fireplace for warmth down there so I’m sure you will love yours! I disagree a bit about the height of the fireplace... think it depends on the angle you’ll be looking at it from. We wanted ours to be seen from quite a distance in the space so we put the bottom of the box at 30”. I agonized over that choice but am glad I did. You can see the whole fireplace from over the top of the console table and chairs in the whole space. My favourite part of your new porch is that pitched roof. Amazing volume! Beautiful

We have almost the same color vinyl floor. I love it too. We have a pool and it takes the abuse.
We also walk though the house with gardening stuff, too lazy to walk around to the back!

Love the new living room. Prime napping real estate. And the marble on the fireplace is PERFECT, I'm so glad you didn't go with the white quartz. Another home run!
And I am definitely on the vinyl floor trend. I am just trying to find the perfect type for my second floor. I already have vinyl flooring in my basement, but I want a different type upstairs. I need to coordinate with the dark oak floor on my main level, the basement features a lighter tone, to keep it light and bright. I'm leaning toward the snap-and-lock variety going forward, the type I have is connected together by overlapping strips of adhesive, and I'm not 100% happy with that configuration. I like that it's a floating floor, but the adhesive has already failed in one spot. I'm sure I'll be ripping it out and replacing it some day in the not-too-distant future, but I'll still go with something light and bright.

Love how you talk about how you chose the different elements in your home. I was hoping you would address the choice of white couches in the porch given that is high traffic.
Absolutely gorgeous! I just wish they had either recessed the Fireplace hearth into the floor or not installed it at all. Seems like a tripping hazard especially right by the door. That's just my Designer eye catching that ;) Love this space though - amazing job, Sarah and team!

The fabric choice on the wicker chair is screaming at me!!! I need to replace the cornice fabric in my living room and that lends to my relaxed style... What I have always loved about your designs is they are timeless, if you had of left it the same it would have still been fresh (to us anyway -albeit rotten ), I have yet to see one that hasn’t made me feel that way. Porch room. The windows in the peak of the roof should be circular. The coffee table needs painting maybe Jade, periwinkle, Navy or royal blue, aqua. The room needs warming up I suggest a rug (or rugs)and some big curtains limited, or gathered in the corners.
