    Wonderful Explanations! I like how you are talking about inks yet you throw in a little bit about lining and shading machines and you throw in a little about process as well as a bit about stroke length. In 'Curriculum Development' this is called 'scaffolding.' The information you give is like building a scaffold, each thing is built on other previous information which is brought back into the tutorial as a foundation of the new material. The next batch of learning would, in theory, be built on and referred to in the new tutorials. Good job, you are a natural, keep up the good work and keep building new material on the old material as you move your students forward. You are doing great!

    I'm posting a public apology for the first video I made. I didn't realize how biased it was. It had been years since I posted. Had to watch it again to see what I said. This video was edited to removed certain parts.
    That being said I also don't say things on my channel that aren't true. If I say something about a product that is my experience. I'm not sponsored by anyone. The opinion you are getting is mine. I don't lean towards anyone's brands because of money. If I prefer to use a certain brand it is because it works for me. If I have a problem with a product that is an honest critique. Business owners need to know that I'm a consumer. If I'm showing something that is what your consumers are getting. I also look at the reviews of other consumers. I don't judge a business if they have one mistake. They are judged by their product, other reviews, and the reputation of the company. I'm not out to get anyone and I don't have any personal vendettas against any companies.
    I've been doing these videos for years now. If you watch a video today you need to take into account it could have been posted years ago. Think about the time that has passed since making the video.
    If anyone has a problem with my videos I appreciate it when you say something. If you approach me in a professional manner the problem will be dealt with.

    I watch a lot of your videos. But sometimes the extremely slow talking can get make me lose interest. You should try writing our a script that way your points aren't so drawn out. I think you have a lot of information to share. But not the best delivery. It's not your fault. We all can't be expert showmans, but we all can find ways to work around that. A script is usually a big one. Your voice is fine. Just the pauses between words as your thinking out the proper way to get your message forward. I usually put it on 1.5 x speed. Thanks for your hard work and hope you don't take offense by this.

      I have made a lot of improvements. Changed some things recently to make it better. I usually just start shooting video and explain as I go, but thought about trying to do a scripted video. I will try it and see how it goes.

    hey man i had issues using Kuro sumi double sumi with a 5 rl last night , is it ok to add a drop of witch hazel or distilled water to a full cup to make it flow better , or will It change tone?? also had issues with intense lining black, ive added a drop to the intense and its healing black but over time who knows , I was reading that with thicker viscosity inks that having long needle hang will effect flow, so im doing something today and gonna hang needles less and add a drop to the kuro double semi, im redoing my own hand as the tattoos are grey and were done in a shop im using the blackest ink I can get this is why .

    would you run your machine while dipping in the witch hazel to improve the ink flow?

    • @TattooUniversity
      @TattooUniversity  6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      You can dip into distilled water or witch hazel but you don't want to run the needle in the cup. Only run the machine after you dipped and removed it. If you run the machine in the cup you risk hitting the needles on the cup. This can damage the needles.

    • @TattooUniversity

It's super frustrating! I no I can lay down some respectable shit, but I can't get this under control? Iv tried all different settings everything, plz help me brotha

    • @TattooUniversity
      @TattooUniversity  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Have you tried a different machine? See if you get the same results. Then I would try different ink and see what happens. Trouble shoot by trying different options until you can narrow down the problem. Also try adjusting the hang of the needle. How far out is it set? Needles and tips fit differently. You need to find what brands work together. I would see what cartridges fit with this machine or is it a problem with the machine.

    You said this so clearly thank you .
    Questions
    This entire learning experience I’ve been told the 4.5 and 5.0 mm stroke were the best liner machines
    Buying lining ink which is very thin
    But you mean to tell me that if I use thin lining in I need to use a 2.5 stroke machine to line .?
    I bought all my machines from Cheyenne I have the Sol terra and the hawk I was looking to get the Sol Luna
    On their website the have the Sol Lina labels as the perfect shader and the Sol terra as the perfect liner .
    But as you made it make clear sense . With this very thin lining ink I should be using the 2.5stroke Sol luna ?
