It is down to integrity as what the late Ma'am Meriam said. Kung ikaw isang opisyal na may integridad, hindi mo hahayaang ma manipulate ka ng kahit ano taliwas sa sinumpaan mong tungkulin sa bayan. Nag aral ka ng 9 yrs. sa abogasya ang ending hinahayaan mong makontral ka ng mayayamang tao dahil sa pera at posisyon. Halata namang upset siya kahit di niya sabihin. It appears to me na nainsulto siya: ang propesyon niya, ang korte, at ang saligang batas mismo kaya naghyperventilate siya. May malalim siyang pag-unawa sa saligang batas and she was not there to be mocked by these gentlemen.
Missing this lady so bad. The Philippines must change it's requirement for senatorial election because we need senate to be proliferated with intelligent Filipinos, not by merely popularity, and able to read and write only.

Disappointingly, majority of the senators then do not know and/or understand the rule of law.
It's 2024, and I still feel inspired by the legacy of Miriam Defensor Santiago, the late Philippine senator. I often find myself revisiting her speeches and interviews, amazed by her intelligence, wit, and courage. Even though she's no longer with us, her words and ideals continue to resonate with me. Miriam's tireless fight against corruption and her fierce commitment to justice are values that I hold dear, and they keep me motivated to advocate for a better future. I know that I'm not alone-many others share this admiration for her, and her impact will be felt for generations to come. It's an honor to keep her memory alive.

It is waste of time for the impeachment court. Had the prosecution really prepared their case, it could have been unnecessary for "mommy" Mirriam to pontificate. Mabilis sana ang hearing ng kaso. when once Meriam begins to talk in the court for senate hearing,you will see how people react nothing but to act like a muted person in the court or put them in silent because the one who's been talking over is highly intelligent about the law and no one ever tried to oppose her.😅 I really missed her of being smart of everything , especially being a senator or a leader.

In 2022 election i hope that there will be a next madam miriam defensor santiago in our senate. Those senators even today is acting to know the law because they were senators but they didn't know anything about it. Sa ganitong panahon alam nyo n sana kung sino at ano dapat ang isang senator.
