As the highest form of love, we are called to reciprocate Gods love to man manifested in unselfish love to our fellow man. To talk about other people comes easy for most of us but now that we are Covenanted members of the community, there’s this call in us to be a light to others, to represent our community in the eyes of man as God sees us not how we see God. I pray that God increases the virtue of charity in me as we continue this journey of life that I may live the life I’m called to be. Vigilance! vigilance! Vigilance! It is so easy to fall into a bad habit of gossiping and backbiting if I do not guard my thoughts and words when around people who maybe my trusted friends in the guise of “sharing”. So I made a resolution to avoid phone calls unless it is necessary .... when I criticize others., this may be a sin of pride...telling myself that I am better than the person I maybe critical of, When in fact I could be worst than him or her. ...My Prayer is to be given the grace to be more charitable and to be able to see myself as God sees me., to know my hidden faults and thereby knowing them, I will be given the grace to change into the person God wants me to be...from a repentant sinner to an unknown saint. Thank you Fr Bing for your spiritual guidance.
Thank you, Father for your talk on charity. My dad used to forbid us from talking about a person when the person is not present. I need to work harder on that aspect of charity so I think I will listen to your talk again. Also I found the background music very good but distracting. Fr.Bing - your expression is courageous. Without naming you've given enough hints which is needed because the waves of sin are common. Abusers are also saved in the way you've hinted (bribery or favors). When a church goes only after collection and number of members it will encourage the things mentioned by you. On the other hand innocent priests are also framed all over the place. They feel out of place. Well, every move is monitored by the almighty.

As Fr Marx would also say "everyone is entitled to the integrity of their good name" A person may have truly repented and that individual genuinely converted...yet continues to be stigmatized with certain labels attached to the past. As God forgives and as far as the east is from the west...forgiving in true charity is the goal.
