Yes, those areas are great springs to visit... check out my videos from there. You didn't see much sea life at the Panama City Beach St. Andrews State Park jetty? 🤔
TheToneman - Gulf Coast Snorkeling Amazing as usual. Hotter than I expected though. It was in the low 90s about all that week. And booked our May trip while we were there too 😎
doubleAdoubleX Absolutely, love them. One of them was tagged and may have been a rescue. I have other videos with older turtles I saw at the Destin East Pass jetty. I would like to visit Black Rock and other Hawaii locations. 😉
SavedGasMan27 You can walk to the east jetty from O'Steen Public Beach Access off of Gulf Shore Rd. Norriego Point is at the end of Gulf Shore Rd. Just a short walk from there. 😃👍🐠🐡🐟📷👀
TheToneman - Gulf Coast Snorkeling we’re headed down to Fort Walton Beach tomorrow. Will also be in Destin and crab island. How far is this public beach access area from Henderson Beach State Park?
Little Birdie Travel Destin had a stronger current to watch out for compared to the jetty at St Andrews in PCB. PCB has a more diverse and abundant sea life.

Hi Toneman, great video! loved seeing the footage of the little turtle! you are very lucky to have seen all these marine animals. Are they there all year around? keep up with the videos! if you have time, please check out my freediving c hannel, I dive around Australia, showcasing the local marine life!
Ocean Chan Thanks so much! Actually, the past several weeks have been unusually active with sea turtles and barracuda, at least for me. I have been to Destin over the past several years and these last two visits have been the only times I've seen sea turtles and barracuda (I know they are out there, just didn't see them on my visits). I have also noticed a lack of sea urchins and sea anemones in the past years, but saw a sea anemone on my last visit and was pleasantly surprised. St Andrews in PCB is rich in sea life and it's only one hour away so what gives? ;)
That's really interesting. I know they might be common (turtles and barracuda) but I would love to see more of them because they are not common where I am. I have seen large schools of barracuda in Thailand, which was an amazing experience. its a bit odd with the lack of sea urchins. but then again too many is a sign something is wrong with the environment as well.
My first Barracuda here on the Gulf Coast was in Panama City Beach last Summer, then these I saw in Destin the past few weeks. This last one was very large, but I could not get close as it drifted away.. Ha
I've been to the panamal jeti snoking but wasn't much wildlife there have you been to Morrison and vortex springs

@lancevaughan5814 oh wow 😳
Good stuff man! I'll be in Destin in just a couple weeks and plan to snorkel in that exact same spot.
TennesseeMatt Thanks! Have a great time and let me know how it goes. 😃
How was your trip to Destin? 😊

Great video as always. I really need to find that spot☺

StampinRN Thanks! Glad you liked it 😃🐠🐟 🐡📷
Nice shots of the crabs!
Henry Hall Thanks Henry! I decided to group them all together 😉
Cute baby sea turtles. They can get really big once they grow up. Check out Black Rock Snorkeling video.

Do you have to get over to the jetties by boat or is there a way to walk over there?
SavedGasMan27 You can walk to the east jetty from O'Steen Public Beach Access off of Gulf Shore Rd. Norriego Point is at the end of Gulf Shore Rd. Just a short walk from there. 😃👍🐠🐡🐟📷👀

SavedGasMan27 The east jetty is at the pass near the Destin bridge. Jefferson park is further east.
TheToneman - Gulf Coast Snorkeling ok thanks!
SavedGasMan27 Anytime! Thanks for watching 😃
how are the currents in the water here? How would you say Destin compared to Panama City Beach snorkeling?
Little Birdie Travel Destin had a stronger current to watch out for compared to the jetty at St Andrews in PCB. PCB has a more diverse and abundant sea life.
Little Birdie Travel I have a lot of local snorkeling information on my Facebook page. Link in the description. 😉👍
thanks!
thanks for the info

So what snorkel gear do you use???
I use Cressi gear... Cressi Clio fins, Cressi F1 Frameless Mask and Cressi Supernova Dry Snorkel. It is good quality and doesn't break the bank. 😉
@@thetoneman Thanks! Did you purchase on Amazon?
@@jeremycarter Yes, I purchased from Amazon 😁
