Thanks. We've been inundated by stalled fronts and were just starting to see some sun and drier days and this happens. Tallahassee is known for it's beautiful big oak trees. They topple over in these storms
So glad I no longer live in a hurricane zone. I hope everyone who is in the danger zone is sensible about this and moves inland to higher ground. If you stay in the storm surge or flood zone and manage to survive, your vehicle may get submerged in flood waters and ruined. And you may be without electric power and clean drinking water for weeks if you stay in a flooded area. Fill your vehicle's fuel tank NOW before there are long lines. Evacuate early before the roadways are congested. Just evacuate, you can always return when the danger has passed, and you will have saved your vehicle. Camp in your vehicle in a parking lot if you cannot afford a motel room. Or carpool with a friend and share the cost of a motel room. Or camp in your vehicle overnight in a park. Or stay with distant relatives. Pack some bottled water and trail bars and a couple of changes of clothing and just leave. If you have a gym membership at a 24-hour fitness place, you can get free showers while you are car camping. Or you can pay to use the shower at a truck stop. You will not have hot showers or air conditioning if you stay in a flooded area. And flood waters drive snakes out of their burrows and onto decks and balconies. Just evacuate while you can.
@@LydiaPitre all of Taylor county is under a mandatory evacuation order but I'm not able to leave I just shook hands with a highway patrol that came by to let us know
@@JimGrimes-w6f why aren't you able to leave? Is it a transportation issue? I just got a mandatory evac notice. I live in Hudson, approx. 1 hr. north of St. Pete. I'm 1 mile from the gulf. I have Stage 4 cancer and no transportation....no friends either, only ppl who live here, (but obviously they have to evacuate too.) I might try going to the hospital, IF I can get an Uber! God bless you and keep you safe. Please invoke your guardian angel for protection. You DO have one...every child God created has a guardian angel, and they're mighty, (not little cherub babies!)

Get out now, if you can. The roads may get jammed and can’t get out.
