to get gems u need to do quests/lvl up/codes. u can buy skins or "special" characters with gems. cash is cash idk what to say

Gems buy some more advanced or misc characters and have better rates when pulling for skins, coins are given more freely and you can typically buy some characters with them but the draw back with them given so freely they have worse rates when pulling for skins
