starting at about 13:19 if you watch closely, they say it was not a goal... although the camera footage in this video is a low frame rate, watching closely and listening, you can hear the impact ting sound on the post, so you know it hit the post... however, if you look at the netting behind the post, you can see the netting move close to the middle upper left looking at the goalie... therefore, although it hit the post, the netting moved in the back of the net and the net moved outwards towards the boards, meaning the momentum of the puck was pushing the netting from inside the goal area outwards towards the boards behind the net... therefore, if supposedly the puck hit the post and hit the netting on the outside of the net, the pucks momentum from outside the goal area would have made the netting go inwards, not outwards, and as the puck then resolves it's course back in front of the goalie, the possible result is it hit the post, the netting in the goal area and continued back outside of the goal area into centre ice in front of the goalie. the netting would not have the outside movement outwards primarily in one spot from simply hitting the post, more of the netting would have moved, and as the goalies stick is motioned into the top inner left corner with the backend of his stick, the puck logically would then be the force that hits the inner middle left portion of the netting, there are 2 separate impacts on the netting, as the primary force of the netting moving outwards is in a position where the goalies stick is not being therefore where the puck must have been, thus the puck impacted the back of the netting and then ricocheted back out into centre ice, as the laws of physics would permeate this outcome based off of the variables provided... mind you it would be much easier if the footage was not such a low frame rate, pretty choppy, but regardless, the laws of physics are understandable in what the result is, Canada scored 8 goals... Although refs make the call, cameras and physics mathematicians should always have FINAL SAY... would be nice to have a higher frame rate though, at least 60 fps, looks like 30/24 fps, which for sports is not even close to good enough. Or the uploader of the video exported the video at a lower frame rate, regardless, it was a goal from the variables I have been provided with, as the netting's intertia outwards stipulates a variable that allows for this understanding, especially as the puck ended up back in front of the goalie... there are a couple of factors that would make this statement arguable, as potentially the netting could move from the impact of the goalies stick thus providing force to the area where the netting moves the most, however to be honest, it's too hard for me to tell as the footage is not high quality enough for me to truly determine, however I am pretty positive it was a goal... with a higher frame rate like 240 fps, and 4k, it would be easy peasy, but the footage in this video is lack luster at best if you know what I'm saying... regardless, the goal should have been challenged, and the camera's need to be at least 60 fps, but really should be 240 fps at 4k, so the real statement here is, USE BETTER CAMERA'S!!! haha 🎥🪘 🔉⬆🎓👆
I think they should extend the teams allowed in this tournament. Doesn’t matter if there’s a big skill gap imo. Just get them there to grow the game in the country’s being represented. China is a county that could be a hockey hotspot.
@@MichaelGiorérechina wouldn’t go there expecting to beat good teams but eventually they’ll be able to compete and then even someday they could win. That’s literally how you grow a sport. It’s all about exposure.
@@MMAenthusiast21 are you saying you'd like China to bypass all of the lower divisions you have to play through and get a free spot in the top division or are you saying you'd like one 30-country World Junior tournament. It kind of sounds like one or the other. Both are braindead
Super pumped for the 2025 Juniors! Excellent video as always, will definitely be tuning in!

Watching McKenna was like watching a great NHLer... Patrick Kane... what hands this young man possesses!!!
I love this black Canada hockey sweater. Let's go Canada.
Clearly the music license budget was about $3
The Swiss jersey is the best
A nice jersey doesnt help winning a game....
Канада 🇨🇦🍁 вперед , так держать 🇨🇦✋!!!
Canada will get better every game
Game was all Canada...
If they played Great Big Sea after my goal I'd ask for a refund.
Disagree, it's an awesome song.
If it was your goal you wouldn't have paid for a ticket.
Looking forward to watching this tournament. Less excited about hearing that goal song. Is it just me or is just really annoying?
Those who want Russia at the tournament talk to Putin.
Russia has a lot more important things going on.
This won't be their last chance ever and they will compete when their other issues are behind them.
Какнда такая быстро а как с России играть дак тювяки хоккей это не игра а большое говно нет России нет хоккея
Horrible goal music 😆
Not the same without the Russians

maybe, but the IIHF has basically six divisions below this one, it's not like other countries don't have the chance to send a team and grow their game
China getting pumped by 30 goals isn't good for hockey, it's an embarrassment

@ no it was literally the first country that came to mind with a very small hockey market locally with potential to be massive.
Go Russia Hockey go
