The moment I saw Clayton get into that smart car, I just felt like the world is possible if you reach for it. I've been depressed and sitting in my parents house for so long. This guy's an absolute stud. Does multiple sports, loves to cook, has a stable job, loving gf, can drive multiple types of vehicles, and really puts the effort in on being independent. From someone with no disability, I look up to someone like Clayton. He's a real example of someone who was dealt a difficult card in life and just decided to rip it up and make his own. Seriously, well done Clayton.

This is very awesome to see a adult with downs do so much. My brother is 15 and has downs and he is not as vocal as clayton but im doing my best to be a awesome brother too him.

These days most people with Down Syndrome do learn to read and write, though. There is some range in learning abilities, but the bigger difference seems to just be access to proper therapy and education from a young age. Getting a driver's license may be a particularly high goal that not everyone will be able to do, but reading and writing to a basic level and having some kind of job and having friends and romantic relationships and hobbies are pretty possible goals for most people with Down Syndrome if they get enough and good enough assistance.
The people I've met on the 'lower functioning' end of DS still generally had happy lives and friends though. That part isn't related to intellectual ability.

Yes, and no. Children born with down syndrome are as diverse as children born with autism, or children born with no 'defects' whatsoever. Nobody is the same and Clayton is obviously high on the scale of things he can do where others born with Down syndrome are struggling more with speaking or movements. I'm very glad that Clayton his parents looked after him in such a good way and made sure he had all the right opportunities in life, he seems to do great!
I loved how he said “mums potatoes!” Lol. He’s so happy and sweet. Calling his girl hunny was so darn cute! I wish I could find a man as sweet as him lol. I lobe when parents don’t treat their children any different and let them live a normal life and work towards whatever goals they wish to ackompoish.

He definitely had great examples from his parents. I just had a precious down syndrome diagnosed daughter 2 weeks ago. She is so wise and beautiful. I ve never connected so quickly or so deeply to any of my other 4 daughters. I have great hope from watching this doco that she'll bejust as independent as Clayton, if not more so! I feel like she's the best friend I never had and a friend forever!❤❤❤
So lovely, charming, inspirational, wonderful etc...proud and joy in my heart full of hapiness for this responsible and dedicated parents, friends, family and everyone who are around♥️helping and teaching them. This inspired me to have more faith in my own children with disabilties🤗🏆

I miss this....... I worked with people with "special needs" , ( Down Syndrom, Autism, Fragile X ), in a large institute in the Netherlands. Then , due to cut backs, the work was not about them anymore but about saving money. I got a "burn out" , got fired and am in between jobs. But I miss this..... loved every minute I have spend with those guys and girls....... making fun with them and about them.... and they making fun with me and about me....... loved when they outsmarted me..... they learned me a lot...... I miss it.... miss them.....
