@Calvin Hayes JHJ music is phenomenal... ..my favourite albums are turn back the clock and tall stories ..thank you for producing such impeccable albums..

@@emilzach2808 TBTC was Co Produced with Mike Nocito, who also recorded it. I supervised most of the mixes. TS, was produced by all three of us in reality. But, thank you very much for your kind words.

One of the top song during the 80s and I am glad you reacted to it. My hope is that more people should be listening and reacting to this. Such great beat and singing! The songs in the years before 2000 were just great. People should be listening to them more!!!

Johnny Hates Jazz & Lisa Stansfield were the epitome of classy 80's pop. Both of them were played back to back on Longwave Atlantic 252 back then. Along with George Michael.

I am a 90's kid and once in the radio, I heard this, the vibes, the rhythm. And it feels good! Old classics were better and the 90's! Good lyrics you could sing with too, beats you can dance on it! I like your reaction! I hope you do some more listening to those old music. Wonderful video! ☺💋👍🏼👌🏼

Johnny Hates Jazz is incredibly underrated, IMHO. 😁 I have loved their music since the 80s, and they're still good. I think I've read somewhere that they definitely don't hate jazz, so the name was kinda ironic or something. 😂

I still get into this jam. Its a smooth, strong and dreamy sound.
I think it was a crossover hit back in the day.
The music video is cool too.

The curious thing is that the band had their first gig in a jazz club : ). Incidentally, the band's keyboarder Calvin Hayes and pop icon Kim Wilde were lovers at the time, which is why she can be heard as a background singer on the track "Turn Back The Clock". Thank you for this video and all the best!

Clark Datchler, the lead singer, does not hate Jazz. His father was a famous Jazz musician. The band name came from a comment about someone they know whose name is Johnny who hates Jazz. LOL glad you like this song. You should do a review of their song Magnetized!
