He is top three. Saban towards the end was at 2 and 3. He is fine. Some recruits have been poached but the game has changed with NIL. Players no longer want to sit anymore. You see it with transfers coming in and leaving. The main talent is from Florida, California, etc. Major athletes. Texas and so many other states

Alabama yes has amazing in state recruits but it’s also about recruiting well in california, texas , AND BIG TIME FLORIDA.
The school does recruit itself to a degree. This is nil now. The money recruits most. He better start getting some of these in State guys that love bama and the d line recruiting better get better in a hurry and i dont know if it does with wommacks scheme.
The problem is college football players are making more in college than NFL players! If it's about money then there will only be 4-5 teams that have 5⭐️ players and Bama ain't 1 of those unfortunately! Bama will never pay $13 million for a high school qb
Buddy If u don’t think Saban was using NIL u just dumb asl 🤣, quit acting like these universities ain’t giving these kids millions ontop of millions of dollars in NIL
I'm born and raised in Alabama. For every recruit in the state that goes to the NFL there are 10+ that don't. Bama has a lower level of competition in High School vs places like Texas and Cali with 7A ball and teams with every player committed to a D1 school. Look at Bama now Booker, Proctor, Brailsford, Jaden Roberts all going pro will play on Sundays not a single one from the state of Alabama. Bama doesn't have to recruit the state to be successful. Thats why the O Linemen committed would be smart to stay that way. Bama is about to put 4 Offensive Linemen in the NFL and has a steady pipeline, when is the last time Colorado put an O Linemen in the NFL before Seaton? Gonna have to go back some years
If you think you’re good enough to actually play in the SEC, why would you dare go play with the pups when you’re supposed to be a dog? If you’re an elite recruit, go play at Bama and end up in the league! Bama’s about to win 🏆🏆🏆 with Keelon as QB in a DeBoer offense!
@Pbull75 Not when you can recruit the whole country. Why recruit an in state 4 star CB when you can get a 5 star from Cali? It makes absolutely no sense. You can win without recruiting in state IF you can recruit out of state just as well and Bama can.
@popeyedave8253 those in state players care more than those out of state players do. That's their dream is to play for Bama. The state of Alabama has 5 star athletes and plenty of 4 stars. But in order to win big anywhere you have to recruit nationally
@Pbull75 Tell that to Tyler Booker who's from Texas and literally the biggest Gump on the team. You don't have to be from Alabama to love the University and play hard. Got another kid from Texas in Ty Haywood who grew up a Bama fan coming in if he sticks. You don't have to be from Bama that's the dumbest thing ever
Deboer and both coordinators have literally ONLY been on campus 10 months lol not even a year yet and are #7 in the country & is #3 in recruiting despite snakes! Go to auburn & lose & be at home for the holidays or go to Bama and play in the SECCG & play in CFB PLAYOFFS RTR🏈🐘🏆
You both make great points and I may have missed the one I’m about to bring up. But the state of Florida has been very good to us. So local recruiting and Florida is a big concern for me.
Great point! Trent Richardson, Judy, Cooper, Alex Leatherwood etc..Bama is also getting alot of talent out of Texas. Bama will start getting the big name in-state talent once they see CKD is going to take the program to great heights! Can't make kids come to Bama, winning is the key ingredient!
First of all most of those decommits were committed to Saban's staff. Second of all the reason Bama doesn't sign a lot of in state prospects is they don't even offer many. Deboer just started in January. Talk to me about the recruiting 2 years from now genius
Are you guys high or desperate for clicks? The guys who left had committed to Saban before he retired. So to answer your question, no, it’s unsustainable to have Nick Saban retire every year.. What a dumb question.
Deboer had such a late start, this is his second top three recruiting class he held th to thenumber 1 class last year . He recruited them and got Ryan Williams to recommit.
Keep dreaming the 1-5 Sooners should've stayed in the minor leagues. Norman on a Saturday is a cake walk compared to Death Valley on a Saturday night and a top 25 lsu team
While anything can (and often does) happen in college football, and without disrespect to OU or the accomplishments of the program, one could argue the expectation you showcase. It’s not just showing support for your team, but to expect that you don’t simply just win (despite having lost so many conference games), but to “put a whipping” on one of the leaders in the conference is astounding ! I’m personally looking forward to a great game with the hope for no major injuries to either team. And if I’m lucky… maybe some of whatever you’ve been drinking so much of ! RTR
@@skipgumphrey9579you seem to be really well spoken and educated. But all you need to know is this. OU is gonna deliver a curb stompin’ to the tide just like we did in that 2014 sugar bowl.
It’s the staff’s first year in the SEC, they didn’t really have relationships with the local schools like Freeze had. If Auburn is getting the top recruits in state year 2 and 3 then yes, I will be a little worried. It’s a non factor right now though.
How long do u think top talent will go to auburn to go 1-5 in the conference and 4-6 overall lol 😂 nobody goes to auburn to play for championships it's a money grab only
You guys expected DeBoer to come in and create strong relationships with kids he has literally never spoken to before January in less than a year? He wasn’t calling these Alabama kids from Washington 😂 Hugh Freeze has been grooming these kids for 2+ years. Let’s use our brains.
I'm not sure how smart these guys are. Hey said "they have 13 decommitments". More than half of these kids were committed to Saban. It's called a coaching change. Lol And some of these players probably fit Saban's scheme. And Alabama recruits nationally, not in-state.

Bama as a school recruits itself! He will be just fine recruiting
Not true, you're arrogant like it's 2010
The school does recruit itself to a degree. This is nil now. The money recruits most. He better start getting some of these in State guys that love bama and the d line recruiting better get better in a hurry and i dont know if it does with wommacks scheme.
Saban recruited very little in state, and I believe he did ok.
Saban didn't have to deal with NIL like Deboer has to this year. The NCAA has ruined college football. 10 million to bryce underwood? Total BS!
I am a bama fan, and I don’t like the fact the $10 mil is the main reason for the flip. Only a true sign of things to come.

Believe me you have to recruit in this state to be successful. And football is pretty good in the state in high school.

Number 2 in recruiting, not bad for a first year coach!

Agreed! This seems like a desperate reach! Getting Kamala vibes lol
It’s Alabama kids know if the go there they have a chance to win and develop. I wouldn’t get to concerned about them recruiting.
Turbo Rogers was never offered by the current staff.
Deboer had such a late start, this is his second top three recruiting class he held th to thenumber 1 class last year . He recruited them and got Ryan Williams to recommit.
They have been there less than a year in Alabama, give it a chance.
Rolltide 🐘
The thing about recruits in Alabama is this is exactly how Auburn makes the iron bowl competitive.
Thats why it is competitive sometimes when it shouldn't be. Auburn has alot from Alabama and i believe they want it more alot of times.
OU is about to put a whipping on the tide! You are gonna have nightmares about the OU defense for the rest of the season. Go Sooners!
Keep dreaming the 1-5 Sooners should've stayed in the minor leagues. Norman on a Saturday is a cake walk compared to Death Valley on a Saturday night and a top 25 lsu team
@ the tide will be rolling out of Norman with a big fat loss! They won’t know what happened when our d linemen pin their ears back and go to work.

Is he talking about LSU?
Dude with the blue collar sounds like he wants them to fall off

Alabama is down this year in high school recruits
All these programs are paying millions to play for them, so whats question? We're at 3, and we spent much less fact !!!!
ALA recruiting will suffer if they do not make a deep playoff run.
