Great video! You have a gift for explaining things in a clear, concise manner without being boring. You've given me some great ideas for projects, the only thing I lack is the raw material: plastic! I live on my own and don't produce a lot of waste plastic, not sure how to get a hold of a large enough amount to start shredding and consolidating it into bricks and other shapes.
I'd like to add a coment to say that I'm really impressed by your creativity and ingeniosity. It gives me a lot of idea as I need to make sheets of plastic. Thank you so much and congratulation again.
I am enjoying your videos/projects and have been saving No. 2 plastic for a while now, to build supplemental 4x5 darkroom processing tanks, ect. I want to comment that the mold unit's top might benefit from the addition of a pipe flange, so instead of a small, piercing pipe to stove celling pressure, you can distribute the pressure over a greater area of the reinforced top and avoid indenting your stove celling. It may also make your top mold element more stable, controlling side-shift better.
Oh, you’re the whining woman who has made the safety crap more important than the message. Let your mother cut your food. I can hear you crying from here.
Wear more work gloves and safety glasses Dave for Pete's sake ;) -- These are just fabulous videos !!! We are a small carbon saving interest group in a lovely small town - Montgomery Wales in the UK. We are going to become affiliated with PreciousPlastic shortly and register our projects on your world map :) .. We are very excited to be part of your projects !! - Best wishes from another Dave.. Dave Wilson, MEG ( Montgomery Energy Group ) - Montgomery, Wales, UK
It will take you a lot of time because your oven doesn't apparently have ventilation. Without ventilation heat transfer will be extremely inefficient. Good work anyway and thanks. Aiming at building the extrusion machine!
Hi, I'm Franco from Argentina, I love your projects I've done several of them. I'm carrying out a project like this, but the plastic sticks to the mold. Do you use any demoulding agent? thanks for your help Thank you
It posible to colored this plastic? I mean if plastic have many colors and you need mold with just one solid color can I do this somehow? Use some paint for this or anything else? I mean in process, not after molding, cos' paint be visible and potential buyer began to asking too much questions.
yeah I think just as long as you have majority one color during use of his extruding machine design process you can use other colors but still end with one main color... or just use colored plastic that is already the color you want...
This certainly increases the variety of things one can make out of plastic. But I fear the energy input from the oven takes some of the fun out of this.
😎👍🏻 In all your videos you thought of everything but you did not think about putting some tires on your rear panel of the final demonstration so that you do not drag it! greetings good job!👍🏻😎🍻
Dear Mr. davehakkens for PID Controlleer's details you wrote that the details is 0-400 degree. What unit that you mean? Kelvin, Celcius, or .. Thank you.
Hola Dave nos podrías enseñar un video con la actualización 2.1 de esta maquina, muchas gracias Hi Dave, could you show us a video with the 2.1 update of this machine, thank you very much
I am in China, I have a dream since childhood, the dream of my country's environment can become better, see your machine, I see the hope. I don't know how to start, can you teach me?
@davehakkens @davehakkens Community, can you show the heating element, is it using a wire or type of element that is suitable for building a compression machine? I am an Indonesian, who lacks understanding of plastic waste. It is really very helpful for me to help the Project to build a better world I will also spread throughout my country. Give me ease to communicate easily and can I translate.
gams016 we have a website called Craig's list where people give away their junk. look for something like that or a newspaper. People here usually give away their old appliances or sell them very cheap when they buy new appliances.
yes you and l maybe we are not able to make it but it's more important the deep meaning of this project, that even if we must spend 1000 dollars o euros it's nothing in front of all the plastic around the world. Sorry for my english i'm italian.
All you really need is a basic tool setup, (hammer, screwdrivers, drill, measuring tape, etc) and the more expensive stuff is just a welder, angle grinder, and a drill press.
you can make your own welder and drill press very easily angle grinder as well. also a drill you can convert into a grinder with a grinding disk attachment. Total cost of all tools is under $40

Great choice of music. Something strangely therapeutic about these videos.
This is absolutely wonderful. Thankyou for making these videos.
Make.Test.Battle might be a good idea to make nerf parts with these plastic molding stuff.
Nice
I love you Dave Hakkens! Thank you for bringing all this to us!

I was happy to see you wearing eye and ear protection @ 1:45, screwdrivers are more dangerous than people think!

It's funny that in the netherlands people can find that easy cable. Here in Colombia the cable is even stolen from posts to sell the cooper inside it.
You make it look easy. It is very intuitive movie clip. Thanks for sharing your idea and the scene editing.

Great video. Thanks for sharing I was surprised by the Czech subtitles. Who made them. Kudos to him/her.
I've just met this channel, and I'm in love!
great stuff... and a great way to re-use.. Congrats and thank you for sharing with the rest of us...
Very educational! Thanks !
You made that all look so easy. well done on all your efforts. Hope I can find something like that to do here in new zealand.
Great video! You look exhausted by the end of it.
Excellent Work.

hey it is so educational video ... and it is so useful for mechanical engineering students i learned so many thing from your videos thank you so much
Love the work bro. Keep it up.
Great vibe and smartness
Maybe make a 2 wheel fork trolly out of wood or scrap steel to put underneath that heavy white background board so its much easier to move.
Great video! I love it!
I'd like to see a way to make thin 8'x4'(1200 x 2400 mm) sheets. With that, it could be cut/shaped into anything.
excelente! tienen esta iniciativa en argentina?
Hi, I'm Franco from Argentina, I love your projects I've done several of them. I'm carrying out a project like this, but the plastic sticks to the mold.
Do you use any demoulding agent?
thanks for your help
Thank you
Did u got an solution ? I also have this problem!
@@reneesiepman3207 silicone grease or demoulding spray both work well
I like what you're doing, keep it up. Thanks
Great project, can someone share links for the electric devices (amazon?) the temperature controller, switch and so

+Buyaga Dodzyo You can use that extruding machine, he said it mixes colors really well.
yeah I think just as long as you have majority one color during use of his extruding machine design process you can use other colors but still end with one main color... or just use colored plastic that is already the color you want...
@@artbyrobot1 i think the best way is separate plastic by colors
Great idea, but with other hot power supply, thank you, all machines videos wonderfull,,!!!
amazing!! Dave sorry but some parts can also makes in wood? for ex. the frame under the oven???
Hey, that’s my oven! That’s my pie you’re scraping! Mmmmm, pie….
Super Great idea love to see it.... The only thing is when you not so handy, can you by this machine?
Did u make open flame rotomoulding machine. If not can u please
Who is the framed portrait of? (and thanks for another helpful tutorial!)
well done, very cool
You are doing a good job my friend. Is it possible that I can show you my moulds so that you can advise me about the type of the machine I should use?
Can you make continious cover making machine..
Step 1: Go to scrap yard
Step 2: Weld a bit
Step 3: ???
Step 4: PROFIT
show me how do you do the solid block mould please
This certainly increases the variety of things one can make out of plastic. But I fear the energy input from the oven takes some of the fun out of this.

the best video on you tube
did you use the existing heating element in the oven?
HI! in your experience, how much time does it take to melt, compress and cold a piece of 20 kg of LDPE? thanks!
Incredible your videos
I want to create 3mm plastic sheets. Is this the best way to get it?
Can I cut these sheets with a laser cut machine?
Great job man
Dear Mr. davehakkens
for PID Controlleer's details you wrote that the details is 0-400 degree. What unit that you mean? Kelvin, Celcius, or ..
Thank you.
Celsius
To melt PET one needs 260°C. Does an average used oven produce that much heat?
Jakob Hirzel add good insulation, add mooooore current :)
Hey :)
Realy enjoy this Stuff! Thank man 😆🖒
love this creative bro :D
how many degree thats melt the pastic ??? and how long with that tempeture ???

Pls how can I get the machine for a small scale business
Wonderful jobs. How do I get these machines. I love production!
please make a tutorial for that bowl!!!
NICE!!
Vert good idéal ,thank's.
You are awesome
I am in China, I have a dream since childhood, the dream of my country's environment can become better, see your machine, I see the hope. I don't know how to start, can you teach me?
Spread the word, show others these videos, find a scrapyard and learn to weld and build the machines! :D
any contacts for sourcing 5mm plastic sheets in berlin?
relly you are very amazing
what to do if the plastic stick to the mold

Where are the dimensions for the parts for the shredder if you have not got cad on your computer?
good work
Pulling the heavy screen is the hardest part
Nice Brother you are great :)
what will be the cost of building this machine
a lot bitch
Me encantan tus proyectos
Amazing
Where you buy all electrónic staf
is the block too solid to shred?
you can shred it perhaps create a cnc routing machine to carve the blocks into sculptures or other useful things
4:14 what's the name of theses placeholders?
Did no one complain to you when you took the stuff from the junkyard because at least where I live it's illegal to take stuff from a junkyard.
+nikke10000 i bet he paid for it, junkyards don't give stuff away
+nikke10000 I bring my stuff in junkyard and take what I find. Sometimes I give them some change, sometimes they let me go.
I love u Dave
ME PASARIAS LAS TEMPERATURA DE CADA TIPO DE PLASTICO?
this is awesome, but my country not have a "trash site" where find the "scratch" for this project T_T

Do you play XCOM? I know Bradford's sweater when I see it.
I love it... I want yo make it, please help!
I never really understood why destroy a functional oven, to rebuild a functional oven? Why not just use the oven you started with?
great
Great video!..But for the love of science use gloves for fibreglass isolation just seeing it handled without made me itch all over. :P
What music is this ?
Hello how are you? I hope you make it because it is a waste recycling machine
can u sell this items
so hard to do, if you doesn´t have that powerfull tools.... you need to spend allot money to build that machines.
