I know this is my second comment, but I think TM 10 has meaning for the club. In gens 2-7 TM 10 is hidden power, which I think represents Ava's talent she didn't know she had for Pokémon Cards.

30:54 - Edgar must have just been waiting for that right moment to use Iono, and probably had to bet on luck to get the cards he needed to win given he was gonna have to put his hand on the bottom of the Deck too, on top of how it hurt Ava badly too.
I want to point out that this series definitely helped me get back into the Pokemon card game! (The app game specifically, since I don't know anyone who still plays today.)
I liked this mini-series in how it took a different approach to Pokemon than the Sci-Fi/Fantasy blend of the various Anime or many Manga. Plus, the western animation look was very well done like Pokemon was done by Disney (not that they need another brand under their belt).
As generic and by the numbers PttP is, I will say that I'd like to see Ava go up against Mark from Pokémon TCG for GBC. Now THAT would be a duel for the ages. I don't even really play Pokémon TCG, but even I can tell you that if Ava vs Mark really happened, that would be the TCG community's equivalent to Godzilla vs Kong.
Isn’t Odish infamous for facilitating floodgate strategies? Ava is so disrespectful to try telling him to “play your heart out”, when likely his only play was draw, attack, pass.

When protag loses, she gets all sad and isn’t very sportsman-like but when she wins, the opponent suddenly becomes her bff. when she’s in a winning spot, she gets all cocky and goes “just play your heart out, lol”. I didnt see her “playing her heart out” when she was losing. I mean, yeah she’s a kid, but so is every opponent she had.
I love how they made a generic animation about a children's card game actually interesting, I haven't seen that since the early days of the Yu-Gi-Oh anime
I really liked the message it seemed to be saying towards the end of how you don't need to win it all to feel fulfilled But then it just kinda invalidates the message by having her win anyway
The rules in this series are different from the real game as characters are winning despite still having prize cards or their opponents still having Pokemon left over. Why were they so afraid to have the characters play Pokemon TCG in the Pokemon TCG show?
