Yowww! Filipino LGBTQ+ member here (specifically Aromantic-Asexual), gotta agree with your points during the hive mind part of the video. Not all of us make our identity in the community our personality since it's simply a part of who we are as people. We're human beings at the end of the day, just simply living life differently.
In my case as an Aro-Ace, I just talk to my peers casually. Regardless of if they're in the community or not. And I like to keep my identity low-key since there's not much for me to bring up about it unless necessary (like clarifying to people, mainly relatives cuz im Asian, that I don't feel any romantic or sexual attraction towards anyone. Be it guy, gal or non-binary).

It must’ve been challenging to find that balance of who you can express to and how much you can divulge. I’m happy for you that you were able to find that balance and are in that flow now. Thank you so much for sharing!!

Why do people think that LGBTQ+ people want to take over?

Some people feel threatened by people they don't understand. People don't want to be in the minority. There is security in numbers. So the majority fears any minority taking over. Not sure I expressed that well, but you get the idea.

Tribalism leads to conflict. Which just goes to prove, we need more world peas. See what I did there? 😉

@@advoo1837wonderfully stated, you expressed it very well! It always begs the question in my mind will that type of mindset ever change or is it just permanently ingrained?

@@aneighborstaleI think it is human nature. Younger generations are more open minded so there is that. Seems like religion is the most difficult form of tribalism to break.
