Duty free prices ! Only cigs seem duty free ! Thanks for showing prices of aftershaves and sweets, booze price seem more expensive than supermarkets in Cyprus.
Just watched your vlog on Doncaster airport in UK, what a lovely airport but understand that it is going to close down ? Love Cyprus and Paphos thanks for all the work you do making theses videos . 👍😀
You are very correct Mr Nigel, it is not acceptable to have tourists stood outside waiting to board aircraft, or to have people outside at arrivals waiting to pass through passport control . This problem needs attention from the authorities. Thank you once again for a excellent video
Pre covid could hire a car for less than 8 euro per day (long term). Now nothing at under 20 euro a day (long term) . Wtf is going on with car hire in Cyprus? also How much is fuel at the moment in May it was € 1.95 a lt ..back in Cyprus in Oct . Thanks for the upload Nigel &Julie
@@TravelswiththeRussells i used to travel to cyprus every year until 2012 and everything was cheap until 2012 when there was waay to many russians and prices went up
I do and the old airport is actually still there, and largely abandoned, I am not sure why they don't reinstate it one airport for arrivals and one for departures, as they are only 300mts apart, it would make them less crowded In the tourist season.. still what do I know lol 🤣. Thanks for watching 😎👍
Yes we always thought that it would make sense, the new airport can't cope now lol. But that's cyprus things are done in a wish wash way lol we only cane back after the financial mess they were in bout 10 yrs ago, work dried up. I try get thriugh more of your cyprus vids 👍🏻
Great video well done shows us how things are not been to Paphos airport since September 2019 Looking forward to our Paphos trip this coming August You both stay safe 👍
I use Leo Opsimos to hire my cars from. He will deliver the car to the Airport for me to pick up when I arrive. Reasonable rates and a very good personal service. What we see as Paphos Airport Buildings now, isn’t the original. When Cyprus joined the EU, it replaced all the existing Arrivals/Departure buildings. Like all Airports, the food, drink and Duty free is very expensive and it would be cheaper bought elsewhere on the Island.
Hi thanks so much for your advice on car hire and tips about airport, I know the old airport very well in fact it's still there next door to the new one. (I say new one it opened in 2008 👍). Thanks so much for watching 😎😊
Hi yes there is a regular bus to and from the airport . Bus 612 runs 24/7 between the airport and Kato Paphos Harbor past most of the big hotels. Meanwhile, Bus 613 operates between the airport and Paphos city center. As you exit the terminal you will see the bus stop to the right, it is the first bus stop stand 21. Simply make your way to the bus stop and wait for the next available bus. The journey take around 35 minutes to reach the city and cost around 2.50-3.50€ (prices have just gone up). If you have children or lots of luggage, a private taxi ride is your best choice at around at €30 / €35 euro
So, in duty free, a large bottle of gin is cheaper than a tub of Maltesers! And over eight euros for a bag of Haribos! Crazy prices. Is this like a version of anti-duty free? I'm sure sweets (and chocolate, check out the exorbitant Toblerone prices, too) were not as expensive as that when I was last there a few years ago! And who buys perfume at those prices?!
Yep just what I thought the prices for some things where just rediculas, yet someone must buy these products? Like I say in the video have people never been in Asda or Morrisons never mind Lidl or Aldi 😂👍 thanks for watching 👍
Is Paphos airport international? Example does it have direct flights to USA or Canada ? Far East ? South America ? I can not find a flight from USA to Cyprus so bit confused 😕
It's a regional airport really but as it does flights to travel hubs such as Amsterdam Athens London so you can fly from the USA, I have done it flight from Cyprus Paphos to Gatwick London then to Florida USA.. hope this helps 😊
hi its doug i seem to rember you saying that you have a holiday home in tala is this true are you over looked by naibourghs do you have a pool and is it exspensive to run
Yes we are overlooked, because our holiday home is on a complex, pools can be very costly to run, when we had one of our own it cost around €60 to €80 a month in electricity to run the pumps and filtration system ( year round, we had a pool guy every other week €60 a month for 8 months of the year) plus water top up ! Water is metered and pools need keeping topped up as evaporation will quickly empty your pool ! These prices were from about ten years ago before the massive increases in electricity costs ! We now have a communal pool ( that has its own issues ) but costs are shared

After effects of covid , trying to make up for lost revenue.
Petrol price around the 1.50 euro per lt at the moment , car hire prices where some of the cheapest in Europe, but not anymore, not sure why

Thank for watching 👍😎 have a great holiday in August ( to hot 🥵 for me lol );
I was there 3 weeks a go, and it was heaving. The terminal could do with air con, it was hot.
@@kennethdrewary1094 thanks so much for watching and commenting, I think it's so busy in the summer with people that the air con is ineffective 😉🍻

Hi thanks for watching, 👍😎 think the prices for tobacco is on the video at about time 11:30. 👍
thanks for your answer. The product you show at 11.30 is a different brand
Sorry I don't know then, but would think it will be around the same price 👍
