check for corroded parts sometimes it does the same problem especially if your device had liquid damage.

Thank you!! It worked
I replaced the original battery for a new compatible one from Aliexpress.
When restarted the mac, fan started max power and CPU was really slow.
Btw never touched the sensor, there’s no way to fix it via software?

Having the same problem , went in to Apple Store today and they said need a battery replacement and maybe thermal sensor , cost $400 to replace at Apple but I decide to do it myself
