- For this Lesson Look in video we are working to feel better barrel release timing and direction. This player really held onto his top hand wrist angle which inhibited him from releasing the barrel accurately/consistently/ and with maximum force. This is an issue I see a lot in young hitters who are forcing a “no rollover” move.

I find myself feeling like I see the ball when im hittting and it looks like im gonna hit it well and then all of a sudden the barrel like slides under the ball and i hit a pop up. i analyzed my swing and saw this. i noticed that my wrist never whips into the the zone and hopefully that will fix this issue and i try not to let my wrists flick at all during the swing and the barrel slides under. thank you hdr.
Sorry this is a different account. Update. I worked on this on self toss and went to go to actual pitching and I did way better, analyzed my swing and my barrel wasn’t sliding under the ball but it being whipped into the zone. Thank you so much. Your an amazing coach.
