This really fills the gap of "how do they actually play themselves" with TH-camrs how just tend to blast through builds and rants etc. Love to see more Ike this, slowly choosing a mid-game build for a escalation and talking through the thought process would be super-helpful for me!

He sadly quit dauntless and abandoned this channel it seems(I'm just reliving some good Ole days ig, don't mind me). I believe he still does pokemon stuff on trailspokemon if u still dig him just for the voice(I'd rather play pokemon than watch it usually) but I do miss him as a source of dauntless content... such a void here.

For new players. When it come to what weapon to play forget what people tell you when they say "play what you want there all viable" BS you SHOULD be playing strikers first get them to mastery 10 upgrade your attack speed 5%! Then focus on axe till mastery 10 for 5% power (these buffs are permanent passives that works on all weapons unlocked on the slayer path the first lot of branches to the left) then play what weapon you want. Sounds harsh but it's a huge buff to have 5% attack speed and power as a passive with no cells needed. I've even been in trails and heroics escalation and people didn't know about these buffs!

I was slow as hell with repeaters and having to rely on cells for attack speed made me lose damage..... but you get 5% attack speed off strikers witch is nuts. 5% don't sound like a lot but considering cells give upto like 15% for a short time a permanent 5% passive is insane high. Or you can stick to the cells and go axe to get the 5% power (overall damage) witch again is completely nuts! Just for getting them to mastery 10 and isn't to time consuming as long as you go hunting grounds till escalation 10 then at level 12 go back to HG till 16 -17 (mainly Cape Fury as that offers most experience per kill) then go escalation 10-50 till 20 to gain 1 mastery. This takes 2 - 3 hours max. I hate strikers the most I hate the micro managing, poor interrupt, short range. I don't mind axe when compared to strikers (did I mention I hate strikers) but it's to slow and boring to play with its limited move set and one dimensional play style (axe throw) I leveled both to 10 in a week and they'll never see day light again.... was it worth it. Yes, yes if was. Instantly noticeable damage and speed increase. Your trying to call it anti fun without even trying it and all I can say is every game has a grind. You start every game with nothing you have to work at it..... that's the fun.
I want to see an actual developer of Dauntless play the game and see how pissed off they get when the hit boxes are off, and the orbs pass right through stormclaw. They would get up, and tender their resignation with Phoenix Labs realizing it was their job to fix these things....
Funny thing about the terra status effect is that it will heal people anywhere in your island instance so even if they fight a different behemoth across the whole island as long as they are the lowest health the orbs will teleport to them which is kinda stupid ngl.
When I last played this game years ago there was nothing more satisfying than knocking a monster down in a charge or something by using a hammers heavy attack and smacking it in the face just before it reached and hit you, same with the gauntlets.
On the topic of multiple cities, I still don't see a reason, why they didn't leave the old Ramsgate in the game as an another city, or just add the new Ramsgate under a new name as a new cityhub
as someone with like 6 hrs in dauntless, after dropping it like 4 times, this speed is insane to me lol im always overwhelmed when i play it but you make it look so simple

If you reset your character, do you keep stuff you may have spent money on? Such as a third middleman slot, or discipline omnicell? Because I want to reset since I have come back from all of the changes, but I've spent a very small amount of money on the game beforehand, and don't want to lose the stuff I've gotten.
You keep all of your platinum, and all of your cosmetic transmogs. The items from the trial shop I believe would be reset, however any currently owned steel or gilded marks remain on your account. I think the loadout slots and the middleman slots are reset, but I'm not certain
Unrelated, just thought of this: do you think PNX Labs will change the Escalation's broken parts pop-ups to appear during the fights like they do in the Hunting Grounds instead of just appearing after killing the Keystone Behemoth? I just hate how I can never tell if I broke a Thrax's leg or not, it doesn't flinch with breaks from the leg and I can't really tell if anything changed physically on its legs or not...
@@brb3218 not that Big of a deal? You only get one drop from each leg, how do you know when to focus on the next leg? Do you think I wasn't focusing the legs? Most of the times I would get 1 or 2, but need many more. We could get 4 each run. If you're in the hunting grounds, you know exactly when the part is broken, so you can move on to the next
@@MegarionZ little bit late to this but all ya gotta do is look and see if you are still doing part damage to the leg, if you are it's not broken, if you are just doing true damage then it's broken
I was excited for this I stopped playing after year 1 of the game fun to watch this wish he would have kept going because I'm confused on how the escalations and Trials work
All cosmetics are kept, with the exception of I believe the transmog stones you've used on actual equipment pieces. Things like hunt pass armors, any armors that were paid for, and the trials crowns, are all kept.
Usually at the start I just kill enough embermanes to get to level two and then unlock all the stuff go back to Ramsgate get weapons and armor unlocks craft the embermane weapon go kill stuff untill I get to level 3 at the Boreal outpost and then craft the Boreas armor and then stick with that for a little bit then craft gnasher armor
I really appreciate the playthrough you gave me lots of tips for me as a begginer to the game and i really like it thank you for the video and i really wish you to continue posting such thank you again

All the old builds are destroyed, the websites that hold them pretty much deleted. creators are pretty much gone. It's weird so i guess since i have played dauntless since before beta and most of the builds are builds i made myself anyway long before they caught on. I guess i should just make my own now again? Kind of sucks though because i like looking at builds because it gives me idea's on new gear and such.
While I like this style of commentary, you sound a bit stiff. Instead of freeballin it, maybe write up a very general and broad script for what you want to talk about. You don't have to do it in precise order, just enough to keep you on track (not that tangents are a bad thing) and give accurate information. At least until you feel (or at least sound) comfortable talking off the cuff. Besides that, great video. I'll be watching the rest as it comes out :D

I know there are build videos i could follow or builds on reddit i could copy, but id like to know the thought process behind creating a build by myself. Currently using warpike. What stats do you go after on gear? What do you typically look for on cells?

Regardless of whether or not this is for new players, he is doing what is said in the title. He is playing like someone with 2750 hours starting a new playthrough. It would be named a new player walkthrough or something similar if this was meant to help new players through every step.
I played the game for 2 weeks now I realized that you can't choose to be just a Sword Player or a Hammer or any one Weapon user, you have to master all of the weapons to max out your level. Which is really confusing and disappointing to me. I am a Sword Player, why the hell I have to master Hammer skill, Axe Skill, a Gun, Hand to Hand combat? Someone please explain this.
you have to unlock the dauntless level difficulty of trials and get 500 gold marks currency from completing the objectives in that specific trials gamemode, once you do that you can go to lady luck and buy the blue crown from lady luck at the top right hand portion of ramsgate. once you get top 100 in any of the gamemodes, your blue crown turns gold. i think
Depends. You can gain weapon meter from the dead body for weapons where that would be wanted. Dead bodies also give you damage types for completing bounties, and the damage mastery goals for weapons
Not sure if you want to do it but you keep your trials marks so you can get berserker and discipline omnicell back edit just realised its a different account my bad
Played First 2-3 maps when the game launched ...stopped and went back on yesterday first time. My char had around 1000 combat merit( saw it in slayer path) but since I wanted to redo tutorial I reset char. Now I played more maps/quest then when game launched, but only around 100 combat merit. Damn wish I hadn't reset.
A mistake I see newbies making all the time is thinking they need to be hitting the behemoth all the time. Its totally cool to dodge attacks and back off to heal.
For somereason everytime i wanna start dauntless it wants me to install anticheat for "game 320" i uninstalled dautless and reinstalled it and it wont go away. is that just me or does anybody else have this? i cant play the game unless i install it i could play before without that popup. so i played it safe and unistalled the game for not. just curious if anyone has the same popup.

I think they should just add the training grounds to ramsgate so you don’t have to wait for loading screens.

highest EXP without slayerclub but with EXP enhancement is 259 (from reforging) without reforging it is 225 yes

Not really that big of a deal if you focus on the leg, youll usually get the leg

Top 100 in dauntless level trials trials and some guilded steal marks, AKA being good at the game.
finish top 100 on any trials leaderboard (aside from console-specific). Easiest are typically Hammer, Axe, and Repeaters solo boards.

Depends. You can gain weapon meter from the dead body for weapons where that would be wanted. Dead bodies also give you damage types for completing bounties, and the damage mastery goals for weapons

Played First 2-3 maps when the game launched ...stopped and went back on yesterday first time. My char had around 1000 combat merit( saw it in slayer path) but since I wanted to redo tutorial I reset char. Now I played more maps/quest then when game launched, but only around 100 combat merit. Damn wish I hadn't reset.

A mistake I see newbies making all the time is thinking they need to be hitting the behemoth all the time. Its totally cool to dodge attacks and back off to heal.
I own the active hunt pass but it won't give me the itom hunt pass there I did unlock the hunt pass there;:`,(

How can i see the hours of playing?
For somereason everytime i wanna start dauntless it wants me to install anticheat for "game 320" i uninstalled dautless and reinstalled it and it wont go away. is that just me or does anybody else have this? i cant play the game unless i install it i could play before without that popup. so i played it safe and unistalled the game for not. just curious if anyone has the same popup.
Yeah, I got it as well. I believe it's Phoenix Labs' attempt to stop the hacking, but I could be wrong.

@@rcarpenter3 but i dont. there is no need for me to deal with it and download a litterly 3thparty software that runs beside the game to clog up loading times. if they have enough ppl like me they start think waht that might be. i got enough games and money to throw at other games.

@@TheMrTrails But how to do it, what key to press? I do a dash during a hunt by left-click and hold, it cost three valor.
R1/Rb/R on controller or default Q on pc
