I had one of these for about 3 years, put 60k miles on it. It was a lot of fun but only after $5k worth of mods (E85, RSB, FMIC, DP, etc). It was reliable for me the time I had it. Original brakes and clutch were going strong when I traded it in.
I have a 19 wrx and these cars stock aren’t the best you have to do some mods to make it better. The stock tune is trash, a stage 1 tune is necessary day one.
@@JVette01 no problem, also for those who do decide to pick one up I highly recommend getting a Cobb access port to tune it, shift stopper, shifter bushing, weighted shift knob because the stock shifter is bad. Unfortunately that’s how these are from the factory but at least you can fix its deficiencies with the aftermarket
@fzr1000981 I honestly would have thought closer to 63k at least because they're impossible to get, and the super low miles he put on it so far! Also, he had a couple of desirable mods done to the car. Still hear of dealership markups of 5 to 10k from certain dealers even to this day!
@JVette01 It feels 10x worse to you, considering you've been driving an RS3 or the M2! Talking about driving entry-level junk in comparison to those two monsters lol!!
Stock yes these cars are slow because of the tune, but with a simple retune they become a lot better in terms of driving, and they do become quicker but not much more
Stock tunes on the VA WRX are terrible

The VB is better than the VA
Agreed
Manual is fun,but the automatic is pretty good if you know how to use it.
word on the street is that subaru is going to bring back the STI.
We’ll see

The good news is that you can actually tune it unlike the 2024 RS3 I had. Thanks for the tip.

if you're looking for a daily get a prius :)
That’s a good idea
Do yourself a favour and get a mazdaspeed 3 as a daily. Impressive for what it is. Puts cars to shame.
I’ve driven those are they’re too rough and hardcore for what I’m looking for. Also, too old
@@JVette01 yeah they are on the older side still sick cars
Why did you sell the RS3?
I have several videos going over why. Check this out - th-cam.com/video/LbdDqXwfxZc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=HZ0A3hEjAQb3ZWJt
I'm still waiting for the vid to drop on how much someone paid for your RS3!!
Stay tuned. Eventually! Haha. Still have a few more rs3 vids I need to post before the “selling it” video.
@JVette01 Nah, you can do them in reverse order for shits and giggles 😃
60k

They’re not as uncommon anymore… Mods do 0 for resale value unless you sell it privately and someone sees value in the mods.
I know you had a mk8 GTI, look into a mk7.5 GTI/R??
No, that would be a big downgrade. I'd be hesitant even going back to a MK8 since I already had one.
Didn’t watch the video yet but why not just get a bmw x3?
Considered, but not really an SUV guy. Plus, I wanna have a variety of brands, not 2 bmws
Nah, they need to chill with that 2001 technology lol. Get an RS5
rs5 is cool but a little more than i'd want to spend for a daily
GTI is all rounder mate..😊
@GTIclubdport9462 Can't go backward into a GTI after owning a Golf R! Humongous step down!!
You do want a car that's not constantly broken correct !?😂
Of course haha

Lmao.

@RobertOfStAlbans_ Turd for brains kiddo!!
Super super slow no torque I wasn’t impressed my
Buddy has one !
True. It's decent if you just ride the little boost you get around 3k but yeah I wasn't very impressed.

no, i still have an appreciation for cars that are less expensive/powerful but this one is just not very good tbh.

@@JVette01I mean you’re going from a rs3 to a base wrx that’s a significant difference
i’ll take a Gti over it and im not even a Vw fan
The Elantra N is the best value / performance daily you can buy
considered it, but wouldn't really make sense since I had a MK8 Golf R and MK8 GTI, both of which I like more than the EN.
@@JVette01 fair enough. It’s a bit of a drop from an RS3 to an Elantra N
Buy an STI
overpriced for what you get imo.
Get a Elantra N better exhaust sound
