- Only the river knows is a fly fishing film from 2012 made by Peter A Christensen and Rolf Nylinder. It's based on the journal by Lars Lenth (played by Mikkel Poppelhøj). Original Score by Per Erik Andreas Axelsson.

This is magical - Never before have I watched a film that made me want to go grap my flyrod and head out, even if it’s currently winter, and in the middle of the night 🙄
Epic storytelling, once again, I’m a BIG fan.
I held my breath for the entire video.
I almost fainted.
This is the mastery of film, of fishing, of capturing the essence of life itself.

A Poem in three chapters
From the first time I saw this film I was spellbound by the story-telling from you, which touched me in a special way. An intimate camera, a sophisticated narrative and a great sense that each word your are telling us comes from the bottom of a deep soul full of love for nature and fly fishing. Thanks to all involved people for this great piece of work and the way it captures all the emotions.

These types of films appeal to the hard working middle class who use them as a way to escape from their daily lives. They glamourize the fish bum live, which like the van life is often time lonely, depressing and scary. This is a movie, and it uses the same tricks as all movies
