I’d have to agree that a lot of these are in one ear and out the other… I haven’t read a lot of them for that particular reason. They all seem to follow the same formula. I appreciate the ranking though, it’s very helpful because I often times don’t know which one to pickup!
I'll be curious to hear your thoughts on Halloween Night 2 if you get to it! I seem to be the only one that likes those books though so idk maybe I'm crazy lol
@@Monsterblood haha I wasn’t a fan of Halloween Night so we’ll have to see if I like the sequel lol. I’m almost hesitant to reread Halloween night because I remember absolutely nothing about it!
I think if you gave The Dead Girlfriend another read it would probably have to rank down in the doldrums with Call Waiting. The motive was kind of as lame as in Babysitter II. The Hitchhiker did become disappointing in its final act, definitely. Personally I would rank Hit & Run high above it, though I have a soft spot for it as it was my first Point Horror book. Beach House, I dunno. From memory I found that one a bit too gratuitous and mean-spirited. Stine knew how to do great pitches that sold well, but sometimes he could be downright shameless when it came to contriving misdirects, cliffhangers, fake-outs and daft motivations. Maybe because he was churning out too many of them whereas his fellow authors in the range seemed to take time to consider their characters and plots and write the best they could. I know there were plans to recently do adaptations of Stine's Point Horror books as a TV anthology series, but that seems to be currently on the kibosh. Personally I'm doubtful they would adapt well to a modern age. To me it'd be better to just keep them set in the 80's or 90's when first written. On the one hand I'd have always liked to have seen film adaptations of The Babysitter and Hit & Run, but not many would adapt to the screen well, a lot of his weren't very good, and certainly it'd be a shame to exclude the better entries of other authors. The Lifeguard, My Secret Admirer and Dream Date particularly come to mind, and for me make the range complete. Without them a TV series version wouldn't be.
cool to hear another ranking from you. i never read any of these but its interesting to hear about them

I didn't even know that I needed this countdown, but I I sure do. 👍👍
I didn't know he made thoughs types of books. That's cool. I might check it out.
Beach House is definitely one of my faves too! I hated The Girlfriend though lol
I'm probably the only one that likes The Girlfriend 😂

Funhouse is probably another one that fan demand would insist be adapted too.
That was epic. I never read any of these books. Out of all of them, which one would you really recommend for me to read from Monsterblood?
I think The Girlfriend and Babysitter 3 + 4 are the sleeper hits of this series. Maybe try one of those
The last point horror I read was the waitress s smith
Awah man.. I haven’t read any of the babysitter yet
Good ranking
Thank you
@@Monsterblood no problem
