You know you live with a model when your crappy barn clothes are Emporio Armani! Also, I love how encouraging Matt is! "Stop making excuses! You did a good job!" :) I love them.
Jesse, you did brilliantly! For someone who's seriously nervous around spiders, it was brave even to start cleaning. Well done! You can always go back and do a bit more later. Perhaps Matt might help?
Great job. You aren't like a child for being afraid of spiders. I'm almost 60 and terrified of them. This was made worse when about 10 years ago I was cleaning a garage and sprayed a spider and what I could swear was a hundred babies ran off the spider...I think neighbors thought someone was being murdered in my garage by my screaming... So be afraid Jesse if you feel the need. 🙂
To be honest if I was him I would spend the grocery money on hiring someone to clean it for me while I am far, FAR away..... I don’t care if I don’t eat as long as there are no spiders within a 10-100 meter radius depending on the size of the spider......
Jesse, nobody will ever criticize you for trying. The fact that you tackled your phobia to the results that you accomplished just show us all the strength of your character. Not to mention the strength of the love you have for your horses. Great for you and a lot of us should be so lucky as to be able to do the same. Just WOW!! 💪❤️🇨🇦🤓
Jesse, you are incredibly brave tackling those horrible maneaters! I am beyond terrified of all bugs, so cleaning stalls requires liquid fortification. Bless you Jesse, for the wonderful care you give your horses. They are priviliged to have you as a dad.
I understand your fear of spiders everyone has a fear of something in their lives. Proud of you still going on with the task and even Matt was understanding and had good things to say. You did a great job Jesse and don't be so hard on yourself OK. Loved your video and appreciate you sharing the experience. Definitely looks so much better. Take care and best always Rusty in OK
I really enjoy watching your videos, sometimes your so funny and don’t even know it and that’s what makes you so special, keep the videos coming and take care
Here's an idea for you, Jesse. Get a proper cobweb broom. It's a long, long pole with a fuzzy stiff brush at the end. Before going in with your hose, use the broom to whisk the spiders off the ceiling. Work quickly and if you need to, throw the broom far away from you so the spiders can go away. Use your stable broom to clean the cobweb broom and use it again, sweeping away the cobwebs and picking up spiders to whisk them outside. The long pole should keep them far away from you. Now, start pressure-hosing in the doorway. Clean all around the door thoroughly and clean as far inside the stable as you comfortably can. Make sure you do the ceiling *before* going inside. Clean it carefully so there's nothing left to fall on you. This way, you should have shifted all the spiders away from the door and away from the ceiling. It should be safe to enter, but wait for ten minutes or so while the spiders move away. Now, go back and work your way into the stable, pushing everything away from you toward the back. Do the back wall thoroughly because that's probaby the dirtiest and the place where most spiders live. I love that you don't kill the spiders! Most of them won't (can't) hurt you, but they're still very scary to someone who has the phobia. The big spider was carrying her egg sac, so I think it was very nice that you left her to raise her family in peace. Don't ever be ashamed of having a fear of spiders! We're all afraid of lots of things and plenty of people are terrified of horses. You do very well!
There are long handled soft brushes made for knocking down spider webs. You could probably find them at any tack or feed supply store. I think that's what you need....... Then you could brush away the spider webs once a week or so and they won't become such a huge problem. Don't feel bad for being scared of spiders Jesse.....you are not alone! Good job cleaning the stables. Looking good!
Watching old videos I've never seen before. This one had me laughing until I cried. I can relate to not wanting to deal with spiders, and am sorry if it causes anxiety. It's still a very entertaining video!
Well done - I used to be terrified of spiders so I know the fear! I now have 26 pet tarantulas and love all spiders. The spider in your video is a Pholcus species and it's a momma carrying her eggs. They are actually a good spider to have around when you're scared of spiders cause they eat other spiders!
The cleaning videos are great. 1 year later and I’m watching. It’s fun too see ur beautiful property and how you guys are making it modern and even more beautiful and we always get to see the horses🙏🏼💕
I understand you Jesse I have been in you place while cleaning my horses stalls, I have a spider phobia thing but not only spiders I fear every single insect so its alright for it to not look perfect, YOU SHOULD DO WHAT EVER MAKES YOU HAPPY NOT WHAT EVER MAKES OTHER PEOPLE HAPPY, and the cleaning you did is fantastic. :)
Sorry Jesse , you really made me laugh when you were running fromThe spiders 😂😂😂 yet a great job cleaning the stables. You and Matt always make my day !!!!
Great work! Spiders are terrifying! You could use a cleaning overall, gloves and a face shield, then you will feel much safer. The more you face spiders the less frightened you will be. The thing the spider carried was an egg sack. She was trying to protect her offspring. You are such wonderful guys, take care!
I also cleaned my stables at home once a year back in the day... And used the cleaning for an excuse to paint the stables in another color (bottom half) 🤣🤣🤣 When the stables where finished someone painted the bottom half light grey but without tape or a laser line so it looked terrible... That's how the yearly redecorating started 😅.. We lived there for 8 years and I didn't like black much although it is the most practical color.. I've painted it 3 shades of gray, royal blue, licht blue, and 2 shades of petrol.. I even stenciled horses 20 cm above the the painted part in the same color and then my 1.83 m English thoroughbred gelding was afraid to enter his stable and kept snorting at the stenciled horses 😅.. Oops...I guess he didn't like it😇 🤣 You did a great job! Spiderwebs are hard to clean with water.. A soft broom works better.. After using the broom you can power wash the stable a lot quicker..
9:35 most adorable appaloosa! Excellent job and cleaning videos are also satisfying so channel your inner "matt" and press record ;p You're an inspiration in many ways Jesse! ♡♡♡♡♡♡
:D "..channel your inner Matt.." This is great advice for anyone. I laughed out loud (for real) reading it, and sure understood what you meant. I most definitely should channel my inner Matt more, too. I mean, we all have it anyway.
1. Power washer . 2. Non toxic insecticide. 3. a hired hand to get the highest areas. Also, you always start at the highest point and work your way down because that's the way water flows.
I was almost as stressed out as you, watching you clean! Could I suggest, possibly, that you purchase a large vacuum. We live near the ocean, and I’m not sure if that is why, but our house, no matter how clean, has spiders and we use the vacuum to suck them up, (actually my husband sucks them up.). If you were able to go in with a ladder or step stool to the stables and vacuum out a lot of the spiders webs then maybe when you use the power hose it would be less scary! Just a thought! You did a great job. Such a lot of work caring for horses but they are truly lucky to have you caring for them. You really love them and take such care and effort to keep them healthy and happy! 😊
Maybe you still have a lot because they just go out of the vacuum after you put it off ? And in my house we managed to get rid of some spiders we didn't want (like zoropsis) by letting others in some places, like steadota. They live 6 years, they don't move from their spot, and we have one named Samantha going really well for so long ! She protect us
The end result is quite good, Jesse! It's not easy to keep stables spotless. This video brought back a lot of gross memories for me even though I am not afraid of spiders - I worked for 10 years at a very large stable here in Canada. I learned a few tricks to keep spiders from flying everywhere and webs from sticking when you wash the walls. First, pick a cold day so you can wear a hooded sweatshirt (fewer spiders on your head!). Then before washing anything use brooms to sweep the walls and ceiling to knock down all the webs. It is still *very* gross but it was less gross than spraying the webs with a hose or a leaf blower. Oh and my mare also liked to squish her poop on the stall wall, though she preferred the wall with the bars for some reason. I never figured out an easy way to manage that...
I read about this recently - supposedly a mixture of 3 cups of water + 1 tsp. dish washing liquid + 1 tbsp. mint extract repels spiders/insects. I haven't tried it yet so I don't know how well it works or how often you need to reapply it, but you can put it a pump spray bottle and seems like it wouldn't take terribly long to do. Pretty natural and safe solution, and great if it works - unless you don't like the smell of mint. :)
My son had a friend in the pest control business. He told us to use this same mixture to spray on the spiders to kill them. It worked but was super creepy to watch. And we live in Colorado where we have black widows. Poisonous spiders totally scare me. Jesse, are there poisonous spiders where you live? BTW, I LOVE watching you and Matt on U Tube and all your sweet horses and ponies. I don't have any horses but am very lucky to be able to do equine therapy.
I would have done so, with a construction vacuum cleaner (without a bag)! Moreover, cobwebs and spiders are next to electrical equipment, and you cannot wash it with water !!! When washing, do not forget to wear safety glasses, and preferably a washing suit, so as not to get wet and not get dirty.)
Hahahaha ... only Jesse would clean stables wearing an Emporio Armani tee shirt !!! 😂 And i bet he didn't even notice, just threw it on ... wadda guy! 💥🥰💥
Jesse you make great videos you help make the time go fast while I am proofing the dough homemade Kaiser rolls and Brat Buns. the stables look great you did a great job Jesse keep up the great work Peace Out
I'm 70 years old and have been terrified of spiders all my life. Jesse is so brave! Maybe using a Swiffer long handled mop would catch the spiders. Swiffers do help clean stalls, though, in our barn.
Great job on cleaning. it's on going to keep stables clean. You have your chickens as well to clean after. Lol have you made friends with any of your hens?? You have such a natural ability with animals. Stay brave, in time it won't bother you as much. Always loving you guys.
You might want to consider using a shop vacuum with an extension on the hose to get all the spider webs off the ceiling especially around the lights where you can't use the water. It's good for routine cleaning also without having to get everything soaking wet. The stables look good, you did a great job Jesse!
I can relate to you so much, for some reason this year my fear of insects in general has increased. Last month I went to a friend's house in the countryside and I knew there'd be insects and all but in my bathroom there were like 4 spiders and I felt sorry for them so I couldnt kill them or make them go away so whenever I went in my anxiety would just kick in awfully fast. I think you did a great job considering the circumstances, don't be so hard on yourself you did wonderfully! Stables will always be a little tricky to clean after all that's where they eat and sleep, and even more considering you have more than one! Love your videos Jesse, greetings from Spain.
Oh Jesse you really made me laugh, although I really felt for you at the same time, as I am petrified of spiders too!! Whenever power washing stables out, my rule of thumb was always, clean out all bedding, remove anything that could be taken out ie. hay nets(no horse wants to eat out of a wet spider and cobweb infested one) buckets etc, then brush down all the roof first with a long handled broom, then the walls and completely sweep out the floor, give the whole area a good soaking with a normal hose first, leave for an hour or so, then before it is all dry crank up the power washer and start cleaning everything. It helps a lot doing it that way and you dont get as much flying debris all over you, particularly most importantly no spiders on yourself!! Anyway keep up the great work hun🤗 ps. I notice Matt came in when you had finished huh, tut tut 😅 hehe love you guys xxx
Jesse you are so cute & so funny, the best is your phobia of spiders. And the faces you pull are very cute. Job well done. Get Matt to get rid of the spiders for you 😉😉 Then you can do a "New Paint Job". I just ❤ watching you. You are so entertaining & I ❤ your Facial Expressions ❣
Jesse you done a great job. You and matt have a beautiful home and you love your animals and keep them in a clean environment. Love your video's you put a smile on our face's 😊
I’ve all have some fear. As a child my siblings took turns mowing with a push mower. But I was so afraid of Gardner snakes I paid my bro to do my turn. Then I traded chores so I didn’t have to go out back in the fields. Not afraid of spiders, but I feel for you facing your trauma. I think this is a high school neighbor’s job. One stable a week all year long-pay $10 for one hour for 3 hrs of work a week, all yr round. Cost per year
Jesse, put a rain slicker on and use safety glasses. If a spider falls on you they will slide off. Use a broom for the ceiling areas. I know the fear is real and I will think of anything not to touch one or have one touch me. Thanks for sharing. You did a great job.
Maybe start with a long handle bristle brush first to dry capture the spider webs, start with the ceiling and hard areas, then go in with the power wash sprayer. But I have to say, it does look better. Awesome Job Jesse!
Get a shop vac, a telescoping pole, some vacuum hose (I used the kind for swimming pools) and some duct tape. Tape the hose to the end of the telescoping pole really well; in the south we have a saying, "there can never be too much duct tape". Make sure to use enough of the vacuum hose so when you lengthen the pole you can reach the high spots without pulling the hose apart. Then you can vacuum all those spider webs and bits that get caught up in them before you start washing everything down; sucking up the spiders that dont have the sense to run away too. I feel you with the spiders, all crawling things have a place, just not on my body. Love cleaning vlogs, so many people do things differently and use an array of products and methods it's like you're always learning something new or better.
I also have a fear of spiders. I know how you feel. I would defantley hire someone to help you clean. Good luck! You have sent my anxiety through the roof!
I live in Colorado, U.S. and I use inverted truck tires in my pasture. I found if I spray the insides with white paint, I dont have a problem with black widow spiders hiding inside them. They don't like the brightness. Did you consider painting your ceilings white? Making it brighter in the stalls may limit the number of spiders.
Great job....you have to scrub the manure glued to the rubber....a good stable floor broom will do that with a soapy bucket of water, it is FUN when you really love your animals....
To all the commentators just advising to kill all insects with chemicas: 1) what kind of person are you? 2) he even says he likes them and that they're beneficial. He just doesn't want them in his face. ... My gosh, chill people.
Jesse, if you read this may I give you a couple of tips to help you out - always clean top to bottom, I think you learned that one yourself just from the experience. Second, use a vacuum for cleaning the cobwebs like a shopvac (a powerful, hard wearing vacuum, but the house vacuum will do). That way you suck up all the cobwebs and you won’t have spiders flying around you. I think it would help your anxiety with the spiders. Then use the water sprayer. Finally, you might want to remove all the bedding before starting or at least pull it all away from the walls so the force from your water sprayer does not stir up the bedding and stick on your newly cleaned walls. You did a great job and barns are notoriously difficult to keep clean. I am constantly sweeping cobwebs down and I swear in a day or two they are all back.
I like your videos, mini or different in concept that is why most of us your vog followers love to follow, with this codvid 19 these video keeps us off of want is going on and happy ... don’t be discouraged in making the videos, like Matt we need to see positive action , coming from USA💕
Okay I just saw the lighter tee. Now I also suggest using the detergent attachment to your power washer and pre treat with Dawn or an eco friendly, soy based solvent?
Most spiders are harmless to humans. I got bit by a brown recluse once. They are considered very poisonous. It bit me on the upper lip while I was asleep. My lip swole up a bit. They are there because of the flys. I usually leave them alone but I have never been someplace where there were so many. You should get a hazmat suit to wear. I'm sure Armani makes one. Lol You are too cute Jesse! 😍
Try a scrub brush and some form of safe cleaning soap on those rubber walls. Try making a pinterest board to collect cleaning tips! Kudos for taking on a challenging situation, Jesse!
6:06 Just so everyone can know, Pholcus is completely harmless, as she absolutely can't pierce the skin and I'm pretty sure she doesn't even have venom. By the way she's carrying her eggs to protect them.
I wrap an old tshirt on a broom for a first passage to get rid of spiderwebs. Also, I wouldn't blow the dust but use a shop vac to vaccum it which would create less mess & less flying spiders.
You doing a great job. And it's satisfying to see... I like the cleaning clips and enjoyed it...Thank you so much. And I have had huge problems with spiders, too. But I've forced me to look clips about spiders and take closer looks at them at the garden to minimize my fear. Now, it's a little bit easier to handle better with spiders... I'm still not at that point that spiders didn't bother me. But I can handle it much much better... I know it's not easy, if you fear spiders so much.... You did a really good job...
That was funny seeing you covered in wet hay after running from the spiders. Enjoyed the video. Gave me a good laugh for the day. Keep up the good work...
I also have arachnophobia. I find vacuuming them up even outside is how I need to do it. Then i know they are gone. Try a shopvac for the stables. Then when all the spiders and cobwebs are gone go in with the pressure washer.
I’m like Jesse but worse... once I changed schools cause there were a lot of wolf spiders around and it was getting harder and harder to not be within 20 meters of one
I realise this message is a couple of years later, but ..... there is a product you can buy from your hardware store, that is called '30 Seconds Concentrate'. You mix in the garden sprayer and you just spray it over all surfaces. It will loosen dirt and dissolve spiderwebs (and kill all insects at the same time). Then you can just hose down afterwards. You can also, periodically, use bug bombs in each loose box, once the horses have been turned out for the day. This will also kill all the bugs, then after a few hours, hose down. Should keep insects out for about 3 months or so. Or hose down first, then use Bug Bomb. You could also cultivate the insect eating plants. Called 'Carnivorous Plants'. They will attract and eat insects, like spiders and flies.
Hi Jesse, you could use an industrial vacuum cleaner to get rid of the spider webs under the roof, maybe with an expandable tube. You could also use it to vacuum all the spiders away before you power hose the stables. Best wishes to all of you 🌺
Lol... Jesse: "I had fun...ok, so I didn't really have fun"...😂. And yes I have an extreme phobia for spiders - 💯 kudos to you for even trying to do it, let alone being successful! Way to go. ❤️
As someone who’s also afraid of spiders, here’s a tip to make the whole experience less traumatic. Start by vacuuming everything first with a shop vac!
You know you live with a model when your crappy barn clothes are Emporio Armani! Also, I love how encouraging Matt is! "Stop making excuses! You did a good job!" :) I love them.
yeah, we all need Matt behind camera, who encouraging
We enjoy looking at Jesse for 15 minutes...doesn't matter what he's doing; let's all admit it!!!
Oh hells yeah!
most guys don't have is face or his smile
Very sweet guy too!
He lives 10 minutes away from me lol
I admit it,however,I need more than 15 minutes to look at him!!
“On a property like this there’s always cleaning to do” I felt that!
Jesse, you did brilliantly! For someone who's seriously nervous around spiders, it was brave even to start cleaning. Well done! You can always go back and do a bit more later. Perhaps Matt might help?
Matt gives orders,nothing else!!
@@donnapalmeri9573 Matt does a lot of work Donna.
He is adorable!!!! I could watch him all day....love how he even cares about the welfare of the spiders. Best personality ever!

Is it only me or is the cleaning videos soo satisfying
Jesse: Jumping two horses at once -- no problem! / Being within 12 feet of a spider -- Aaaahhh!! :)

Oh Jesse I’m so sorry you were upset from the spiders. You did a great job with the stables. Hugs
Just noticed that Matt has a moon tattoed on his wrist and Jesse has a sun!
Katja never noticed the tattoos But their bond is Unbreakable.
where abouts is it in the video?
They have had them for long time
Yeah Matt moon's on his right wrist while Jesse sun's on his left
There are people in the world you just enjoy,Jesse you are one of them. Thank you for the smiles.
We do our stalls the first of every month and it is such a hard job

No one really talks about how keeping horses will attract bugs, flying and crawling, but you did a good job. I think biting flies are a true horror.
Yes ! most flies are far more harmfull than any spider they can have x)
Well done Jesse ! You were very truthful about fear of spiders and still competed the project. I admire you for this!

Another great video Jesse, I could watch you watching paint dry. You just seem to be so genuine, fairly unique quality these days!💕!🤣🤣🤣
The cleaning videos are the best! I did just watch 3 rig cleanings and 2 car details before I found this so I might be biased...
You are still wonderful as an appaloosa.
“ I look like an Appaloosa “ Hilarious!!
When you've been waiting for over an hour for Jesse to post:

Vacuum the spiders 🕷& webs 🕸on ceilings first, then pressure wash, will make the job easier.
So much easier! Then you have control over the 🕸 rather than blowing them down on you with the water spray. Much less stressful.
I would have done so, with a construction vacuum cleaner (without a bag)! Moreover, cobwebs and spiders are next to electrical equipment, and you cannot wash it with water !!! When washing, do not forget to wear safety glasses, and preferably a washing suit, so as not to get wet and not get dirty.)
also afraid of spiders))
Hahahaha ... only Jesse would clean stables wearing an Emporio Armani tee shirt !!! 😂 And i bet he didn't even notice, just threw it on ... wadda guy! 💥🥰💥
Jesse you make great videos you help make the time go fast while I am proofing the dough homemade Kaiser rolls and Brat Buns. the stables look great you did a great job Jesse keep up the great work Peace Out
Love to watch your channel. It shows your kind nature.
Jesse . You are the best! Continue to stay humble! Enjoyed a lot this Video.
I had fun but I did not really have fun. Jesse you're Priceless!
Looks great, Jesse. Power hoses do a great job. Much better than having to scrub the walls with a barn broom.
I know how you feel. I'm 76 and have been terrified of spiders all of my life. To me, every sane person is afraid of spiders!
I'm 70 years old and have been terrified of spiders all my life. Jesse is so brave! Maybe using a Swiffer long handled mop would catch the spiders. Swiffers do help clean stalls, though, in our barn.
Well done Jesse you did a really good job. I hate spiders too xx
Great work doing a dirty job. I loved watching you dealing with your fears! ❤
Hey Jesse, you clean up pretty good😁 👍& nice job😄👍
"Maybe these flies have been captivated by the spiders?" So cute.
Jesse you did a very good job. Good on you ! The horses 🐎 will love it. Xx
I’m an arachnophobe too. 😬 I grew up in a marina, where the boathouses were FILLED with huge spiders. You could wear more protective gear!
I like your videos, mini or different in concept that is why most of us your vog followers love to follow, with this codvid 19 these video keeps us off of want is going on and happy ... don’t be discouraged in making the videos, like Matt we need to see positive action , coming from USA💕
Jesse have never been more relatable then in this video, spiders are the devils pet
Okay I just saw the lighter tee. Now I also suggest using the detergent attachment to your power washer and pre treat with Dawn or an eco friendly, soy based solvent?
I agree with Matt you don’t need to excuse yourself you did a fantastic job. I would be scared of the spiders as well!
Lol
You are too cute Jesse!
Jesse: *avoids the spiders*
Me an invertebrate keeper: *pays money for spiders*
So yeah if you need a spider catcher hire me! 🙋🏼♀️
Hahasgsjdbgdjgdi SAME. I love spiders and I currently have 10 tarantulas and my mom have promised me she will never set foot in my room ever again😂
I’m like Jesse but worse... once I changed schools cause there were a lot of wolf spiders around and it was getting harder and harder to not be within 20 meters of one
@@Hi-xn2su also hi ARMY
@@kasiorexg4806 hi😁💜
Nice job! Glad you persisted! Where can I get one of those? Well worth your time and effort. Huge improvement!
Great work, it looks really good!
I guess it’s cheaper than burning the stable down every month !!! But I would consider it !🤣🤣😳
Hi Jesse, you could use an industrial vacuum cleaner to get rid of the spider webs under the roof, maybe with an expandable tube.
Way to go. ❤️
When will your kids t shirts be back in stock the matcho one 🤠
Jesse, you did a wonderful job!
Well done Jesse 👍
As someone who’s also afraid of spiders, here’s a tip to make the whole experience less traumatic. Start by vacuuming everything first with a shop vac!
