About Life Is Beautiful:
Guido is a charming, bumbling Jewish waiter whose colorful imagination and playful spirit help him to woo a beautiful schoolteacher. Well, he is the writer and the director... he cast himself. She is his wife in real life and she is one of the most terrible actress ever. Very very bad, no skills, no facial or vocal expressions, always playing the same character in all (Benigni's) movies. I agree with you but this is not the case.

I wonder, after they got married and had their son, if he ever told her how those miracles were really just coincidences haha. I believe that they were meant to be, and that he met all those people just so he could make her smile. It's truly a work of art

1:44 the translation here is wrong, he's talking about minutes not seconds, but I guess since that phrase was linked to a joke earlier in the movie in order for the joke to work in English they probably reworked it a bit.

en Italien c'est beaucoup mieux, mais regarde avec des sous-titres français. ce n'est pas un film à regarder dans une autre langue que l'italien, sinon c'est nul et ce n'est pas la peine de le regarder autre que dans sa langue originale. tu n'as qu'à acheter le dvd s'il n'y est pas sur youtube en italien sous-titré français, franchement ça vaut le coup
Tape "la vie est belle streaming français". Tu peux regarder en français, la version est très correcte je trouve.

È complicato da spiegare
Quel signore che gli ha detto "sette minuti" era un dottore tedesco che conosceva già da prima, infatti aveva alloggiato in un hotel dove lavorava Guido ed era appassionato di indovinelli. Prima infatti gli aveva posto l'indovinello "sta tra sette minuti" (la risposta era Biancaneve, che sta con sette nani, o "minuti") ma per far funzionare l'indovinello sia in quella scena, sia in questa, il traduttore deve aver scelto la parola "seconds" che oltre a secondi vuol dire anche assistenti o collaboratori.

Except this came out in 1999. Perhaps Youth was inspired by La Vita e Bella?

Non credo sia il punto della sua apparizione, questo é un film che parla di molti temi sulla vita. La professionalità degli attori non deve riflette la bellezza del film
I dialoghi sono corretti per questo film, ma al limite del didascalico. Se la fa recitare un regista più "sgamato", come Virzì la dirige in Ovosodo, noti subito una differenza. Con questo non voglio dire che sia una attrice da Oscar. Ma a volte gli attori vengono un po' penalizzati dalla scrittura, più che dalle loro vere mancanze. Scusa la risposta ad un commento di due anni fa, ma va sempre a beneficio di chiunque passi di qui.

They should have given another opportunity to survive to the main character. To me, it was like the writers were craving his death since te moment they started writing.

I just dont like death.... not death, MURDER... and why? for political reasons, because some crazy guy decided to slaughter all these people.. i dont like that, Im pretty conventional in that sense and I like happy endings, without any loss. Its a posibility, there are lots of posibilities, but the chance to a happy ending yo do have it. But he decided death. I just don t like it.

I have also mixed feelings about this movie, in a way I can't really explain. I guess you could say it is a little too much of everything, lumped in together. Can't say I didn't enjoy it the first time, especially the first half of it.
