Great! Amira never interacts with the audience. She prefers to concentrate deeply on the song, to deliver it with the greatest possible emotion and beauty. Here, as it was informal, she even interacted a little. But she usually returns to planet Earth only at the end of the song. And everyone admires her for that.
This took place when she flew to the Netherlands to see her father at Christmas. Before leaving South Africa she sang Panis Angelicus, at a church, with her friend Katherine Hamman. Worth seeing. Thanks, Grandpa.
Recorded on a cell phone in the church of her childhood in the Netherlands where her father is the church organist. The acoustic of the church is very appropriate for this duet.
She didn't have an audience, just whoever was holding the phone it was recorded on - probably her then boyfriend, possibly her brother. When Amira sings, she forgets the audience, producing the song to the highest possible quality is her primary goal, that's what she focuses on. Her father has been a church organist for a while, and took baby Amira along in a basket very often. She is quite comfortable with the setting. She was just short of 19 when she recorded that, she is 20 now, and studying music at college. If her tutors see areas where she can develop, I'm sure they'll advise her. Rally it's a pretty impressive performance on any level, there wasn't any rehearsal or pre-arrangements, it was quite spontaneous, and worthy of something you'd normally hear beyond the pearly gates.
When recording something we always have an audience. We can't see them. None the less, they are behind that camera. She is such an amazing talent. Thank you for watching. much appreciated.
Great reaction again, thanks ! I especially enjoy this improvised rendition of this hymn in Italian and at the end in latin. An amazing talent indeed. The melody itself was composed in the 18th century and sounds like a Baroque piece. By the way, Amira used no microphone, nor amplification in this performance, just the church acoustics. Probably she didn't expect to sing when entering this place. Anyway, I'm sure that her music teachers in Pretoria will finish polishing this gem... 😊
Lyrics: O bel bambin non piangere non piangere, Redentor! la mamma tua cullandoti ti bacia, O Salvator. Osanna, osanna cantano con giubilante cor i tuoi pastori ed angeli o re di luce e amor. Venite adoremus venite adoremus venite adoremus Dominum. Ah! venite adoremus Ah! adoremus Dominum venite, venite venite adoremus adoremus Dominum.
HI GRAMPS, I THINK THAT AMIRA SHOWED THAT SHE WAS MODEST and A LITTLE SHY - IF YOU SOUND LIKE AN ANGEL and YOU ARE MODEST ABOUT IT, IT SAYS A LOT ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER - I REALLY APPRECIATE THAT AMIRA QUITE OFTEN PAYS TRIBUTE TO HER BENEFACTOR, NAMELY GOD and IN THIS CASE WITH THIS SONG, ABOUT BABY JESUS - AMIRA IS AMAZING IN ALL ASPECTS ❤❤❤❤ - 777 BOER BEN
Even professional vocal coaches have commented on the fact that she completely loses herself in the music to the point of almost going into a trance. They speak of it with admiration not as a point that needs improvement. Trust me, she needs absolutely no improvement. Pop stars and country singers play to the audience classical singers strive for perfection of tone and drawing emotion through control. She does this to perfection.
She is always beautiful
Yup.
Amira is just amazing!!

I guess so. She is an awesome girl.
