    Bears front office:
    Resign a team legend to help contribute to the team and mentor younger guys? Hell no.
    Pay jay cutler 100 million to throw to the other team? Say no more

      Brian Urlacher basically took the bears to the super bowl against the Colts. Brian Urlacher almost single handedly beat rodgers &' the packers in the NFC championship. Cutler legit was too SCARED to play against Clay Matthews that he faked an injury .. so stop

    • @kevinmdwyer
      @kevinmdwyer 7 ปีที่แล้ว +42

      You mean it was Mike Brown/Tommie Harris and Urlacher who took the Bears to the Super Bowl. Hester was a big part of it, but the defense was unstoppable when those 3 players were healthy and on the field. Everything else fell into place after that. It certainly wasn't Lovie's in-game decisions or Sexy Rexy and his turnovers. When Chicago lost Brown and Harris at the end of the season they were screwed. Bad luck.

      PRHILL9696 how did he earn his money? 19 touchdowns and 12 interceptions is not worthy of 100 millions dollars. To make things worse he got out performed by his backup.

      @Tom Wilson your crazy. Brian was the reason you guys made the Superbowl vs the colts. He played at MVP level for years. He got sacks, interceptions he covered tight ends like a beast. Stopped the run or atleast drew two blockers his way so someone else is free to get the tackle. He played every down to. Bears didn't wanna pay him. But they paid Jay Cutler. That's all I gotta say about that

      True, but these players need to understand from the get go that the NFL is not mother teresa, its a business, they see players as commodities to be traded with, they use them while they are usefull, once they get older and more expensive, its just easier to hire new people, in this case Urlacher seemed not to know this

      Let's not cry for Urlacher.
      He's a Hall of Fame athlete - but he wasn't Lawrence Taylor special... he didn't bring Super Bowls. LT won SBs with Phil Simms and Jeff Hostetler as his QB. Hostetler!!
      Brian was fast - but he wasn't that ruthlessly tough in an intimidating way. like Lawrence who could break your leg and end your career... and by accident (not even on purpose).
      Look at Urlacher's performance in the Super Bowl: For all the people who want to say Cutler didn't do anything for the Bears (Jay did score 4 TDs in his 1st Playoff Bears game), consider how Urlacher had a kind of embarrassing performance in the biggest game -the Super Bowl vs. the Colts. Got pushed around all day long.... got run over by Dominic Rhodes and that offense over and over.
      The Bears are frugal - and they did overrate Cutler for sure. They should have invested in Oline (If they had a great Oline, that line could still be playing today) and not paid Cutler as much - but that's easier to say now.
      The Bears shouldn't have let Peppers go to the Packers - but it's not like Julius won a SB in Green Bay anyway. Peppers was better than Brian in physical hand-fighting and just overall battling at the line.
      Urlacher deserved to be treated tough by Bears management for acting silly, running around with Paris Hilton, and in general not being more serious about winning and the franchise - he got paid millions, he'll make the Hall of Fame (probably on the 1st Ballot).

      @richardb.4752 8 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      yes, you really hurt my feelings, i would like an apology from you now, it would really make my night.
      "you sound proud that NFL has more injuries lol"
      please tell me how i sounded "proud"... you're bringing up rugby which is a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT sport with COMPLETELY DIFFERENT rules than the NFL to someone(FotMS) who was talking about what NFL players go through. now that you coming off as proud about something that is irrelevant to what was initially posted.
      "wouldn't that mean NFL players are pussy compared to rugby?"
      no, it's me pointing out that the NFL is a more physical game than rugby with more severe consequences.
      "I'm just saying, its not about "higher impact" its more technique. you should watch rugby hits and in your right mind tell me it ain't real"
      what you're saying is POINTLESS. the technique used in rugby to tackle would not fully work in the NFL. there are some minor things that might work but it's not all that valuable because of how differently the rules are in both sports.
      also, when the fuck did i say rugby hits ain't real? the NFL hits harder than rugby and that's a fact, it doesn't mean i think rugby hits ain't real.

    This is why the Bears are in the predicament they're in now. Look how they did Matt Forte! Dude was a work horse and the moment he got injured they cut him. The bears just fuck over good players yet you give 100mil to Interception Cutler I mean Jay Cutler. They will never be a contending team.

    • @chrisqi999
      @chrisqi999 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Looking back on the Cutler years, it turned out to be a big mistake for the Bears to trade for that bum, but their biggest mistake was giving the man $120 million for 1 playoff appearance in 10 years.

    • @buddylee8570
      @buddylee8570 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      dude, matt forte sucked....lol he was a good one cut guy that could catch. have EVER seen him break a tackle? no. He was actually a fullback that didnt like to hit people but had skills so became a running back with skills. not talent. he did VERY well for himself. and the interception throwing jay cutler was a contending team. i remember the touchdown throwing jay cutler throwing touchdowns. you gotta go and take a look at drew brees and tom brady, their are some things there that are for them and only them that the bears didnt have, meanwhile the bears had things for them to, things they did not have. anyway......im just sayin the o line was not a pass blocking o line and we had like 11 coordinators and a defense.

    I have been a Bears fan my entire life. Unfortunately when George Halas died his daughter who was married to Ed McCaskey, inherited the team along with the McCaskey family. They’ve been absolutely horrible in every step of their player personnel decisions to hiring front office & coaching positions. They’re absolutely clueless as to how to run a football organization. If Halas didn’t hire Ditka before he died, the Bears would be on a 58 year championship drought right now. Their current chairman, George McCaskey, is beyond a joke. Not only is he clownish & clueless but I also detect some mental illness in his behavior. Ryan Pace & Matt Nagy should’ve been fired after the 2020 season. Instead he brought them both back to dig the hole this organization is in, a lot deeper. They will both be fired after this upcoming (2021) season. What they did to Urlacher was shameful as well as classless. This organization is a complete mess and is in total disarray.
