I love my Quick Jacks. I used them to remove the transmission on my 1967 Dodge Charger. All I had to do was remove one of the front tires to get the front of the case to have enough clearance.
There are TH-cam videos on how to modify them for easier rolling. Great episode as always.

It's cool that regardless of the value of the parts being put to use, it's all still bolt-on, showing how far something could be taken without needing to invest in fab tooling or have the know-how for fab work.

When you remove a hood on this style of truck you just have to remove lh and rh cowl covers. The hinge bolt and nut is accessible. Remove spring bolt at hood plate and remove pivot bolt for hood. When you reinstall hood it is still lined up, as long that you reassemble the fenders in original place.

Currently working on pulling the stock exhaust to put a 3" turbo back, boost gauge, AEM Wideband, Boost controller, some smog deletes and replace a few bushing on my 87 Conquest.

When I remove a hood or another body panels I drill 1/8th holes near the mounting bolts
Then use rivets or drill bits for alignment during reassemble to align the part
The holes are invisible when the hood is closed or door or trunk or fender
Works pissa and don't need extra help if you're alone

So, I still have my 92’ OBS with a 4.3 and manual, 23 years later. Funny, not so funny story, I had a bunch of my money saved up for my first car. Odd job growing up, saving, usual story…
I made the dumb decision, one day after school, to go shot for shot with a bottle of gut rot, and I wound up in the hospital later that day. I woke up in a hospital bed with my father asking me if I wanted another drink, with a cigar in hand.
Needless to say, parents had me pay that $4,500 hospital bill with my car money I had saved up for, for so long.
The $800 W/T long bed was what I could afford after that dumbass endeavor. Still have it though. Replaced every brake line, replaced entire fuel system from tank up to rebuilding the TBI. Taught me a ton. Still have it this many years later. Still is our family’s workhorse. I can go turn the key right now. Always wanted to slam it since day one, and was giving more thought to it when your Ridetech video dropped. Serendipity? I’m also an artist aside from a wrench, and want to do a cool hand painted door piece. Showcase some skills and have a cool cruiser.
I don’t need your low mile 4.3, I just wanted to share my personal OBS story. Figured you’d all get a kick out of it.

I have a 1998 gmc sonoma that stopped running out of nowhere. I've replaced the distributor plugs wires and map sensor and cleaned the spider injectors. This was my dream truck, and I can't figure out why it won't start. It has great spark fuel and compression. The codes only say o2 sensors and misfires beforeIdid all that work. I don't know what the codes say now. That drive train would be nice, but no money, anyway. I love your videos. Keep up the great work.

The motor has billet main caps w/ balanced rotating assembly and big flow aluminum heads with smaller chambers. Run's all the factory computer and gauges so the gauges all work and the ECM is tunable via the EBL Flash II's USB port that is added to the factory computer!

I have now been sober for 10+ years and my uncle gave me the truck so someday I could restore like my fathers truck. The truck is just sitting waiting to be restored just can’t afford right due recently having major back surgery 2/14/24 so my plans are still to restore it someday hopefully.

Finnegan, I'm curious to know of the numerous LS swap headers for the GMT400. For 2wd, Hedman, and schoenfeld is the only long tube manufacturer. No stainless options.
The link to the long block actually brings you to the short block.

Was always a popular swap back in the late 90’s for yoda trucks

My 1998 GMC needs a engine badly. Needs a 350,but I bet that V6 has way more power as mine is woreout. Love these trucks ! Not sure what I have to trade for that drivetrain, especially to cover shipping. Lol.
