Homemade dulce de leche the easy way

- Let’s make our own caramel treat / dulce de leche using the condensed milk method.
Put your tins into your pressure cooker or instant pot.
Fill with water ensuring that they are submerged.
Cook on high pressure for 40-45 minutes
Let it NPR (natural pressure release)
Let cool completely (in the fridge or overnight)
Stores on the shelf for 6-8 months

My late mum used to do it this way, she always said to be careful as it may burst open whilst cooking . I'm thankful to buy it ready made 😂
you can avoid the risk of bursting open by making sure it's always submerged, that's why i love it in the pressure cooker, i can switch on the timer and leave it. then only open it once it's cooled and the pressure has reduced. I hardly find the Pot O'Gold brand so had to make my own.
