I love, love, LOVE Luke and Brian scenes. The actors are both so strong, and they play off each other really well. This is one of the best Luke story lines of all.
I think Brian is such a sad character. I love that Laurence Lau is portraying him, he's such a good actor. Loved him since OLTL. Yay for actually being interested in the Nuke storyline again.
When Noah and Luke fight, it's like I'm a little kid overhearing my parents argue. Then, when they make up or are together, it's like "BEST LOVE STORY EVER."

Enjoy the next 100 parts with some very special and intense Nuke love moments (thanks to our wonderful boys - Van and Jake), because afterwards the writers went totally nuts and distorted Luke's and Noah's characters and their yearslong history only to throw them under the bus. I'm doing my 2nd round here after watching "Luke's story" (recommend to all of you, it's wonderful to see more of our cutie Luke/ Van's brilliant acting since his 1st day) and gonna enjoy every minute of Nuke together.
Really, it's kind of a thing with parents in general, at least on TV. 'You were being hit on by your Grandmother's new husband and - What? You were drinking and putting your life in danger?' But... yeah, I do have to admit, Noelle's Lily has from the day she started felt to me more like an aunt or older sister for Luke, not a mother. She just doesn't look like she should have a twenty year old son! I've come to like her performance, but she doesn't seem very 'motherly' to me.
the acting between lucinda and brian in these scenes and the ones that follow is really good. I also think that the Luke character really was attracted to Brian.
Wow- it's amazing that it all came out so "cleanly." I just hope Luke and Noah can work things out. Luke needs to control his jealousy and his drinking, and Noah needs to be more understanding and supportive.
I loved that reaction, it makes perfect sense from a mom. Luke had a serious drinking problem in high school and has a transplanted kidney that means alcohol could kill him. So his mom is thinking about her kid's life first, everything else second.
Actually I'm always picking on new Lily. I've tried to like her but I miss Martha. I do agree the dialogue did seem like something old Lily would have said, I just wish she were the one saying it.
The episode today was WAY so Perfect! Just when Jade tells about Brian ... I was like ... Stunned. I was like frozen then I started to laugh. Wow, you wait for this but never thought is come so quickly and in one episode. Usually soaps tend to go around a subject for way longer!
Love how Luke tried to wrap himself tight in his hoodie when Lily started questioning him. Made him look cute and vulnerable. Or maybe it was just cold out there. lol Anyway, I thought it would have taken a bit more for Jade to blurt out the punch line, but that girl obviously couldn't keep anything to herself. I am impressed with the great acting in the Lucinda/Brian and Lily/Luke scene. If only the rest of the show can be half as good.

I love that they put Brian in normal, everyday clothing in these scenes - casual pants and shirt. It emphasizes that he's not an "old man" at all. He's written as being significantly younger than Lucinda, more like the age of Holden and Lily. And LOL Luke, it turns out that Noah *is* the kind of guy who "goes around punching people" as we see a year and half after this punch.
@jakeandnoah Luke will soon be there. After everything in the last year I think they learn there lesson and reunite for good.. . I mean even if Reid had lived it would have fizzled out in another month.

Another terrific episode. Van & Laurence were really great, they have a big chemistry (tough Van seems to have it with ALL the actors, that good he is); and I lament that Brian is supposed to leave the soap because he would be a very interesting character (A Luke's friend? A mature gay men coming out?) Thank you Andy for posting!

Haha. I always thought this was a reinvented version of the Luke/Noah/Maddie triangle too. Luke being Luke. Brian being the closeted gay person attracted to Luke (so... like Noah), and Lucinda being the "beard" or cover-up relationship who got screwed over and betrayed (like Maddie) in the end.
Jade is a fantastic character, always causing trouble in the best kind of way, and the look on Luke's face at 3:41 is utterly priceless. He's like "oh, no you didn't." I know they bent over backwards to try and make Brian sympathetic, but I always found him far more pathetic, and I was happy to see him outed.
If Brian wanted to make that revelation worse, he did it by phrasing it, "I made a pass at your grandson" instead of just "At Luke", because he's emphasising the poison on the knife.
Hell I could put a simple comment after every clip:Van is sweet ever so gorgeous and takes my breath away but this is one of those scenes I'd vote the mos.Lovely shaking and emotions he is portraying.

I absolutely love Nuke and have been a fan ever since i watched their first kiss on youtube. But will the writers give them a break? Yes it's a soap and there should be problems and arguments, but this is insane. Luke and Noah never seem to be together for a long period of time and all they seem to do is fight. We soak up all the happy moments and kisses because they're so rare. If real relationships went this bad then they'd probably of ended by now. Just let Nuke be happy!

Although it is good when everything's out in the open. And I agree with Luke about Brian. The guy is just REALLY confused.
All I see in this whole story is that Brian needed to meet Luke otherwise he might have never had the courage or chance or push to come clean.
