    This has to be one of the best undersubbed channels.

    Amazing as always, I love that you're not just mechanically reading a pre-written text like most history podcasts do but instead speak directly to us less formally as if telling a story, and yet you manage to do it eloquently. I only wish I could delete my memory so I could rediscover your other episodes again.

    Brilliant way to introduce the interesting and sometimes dazzling history of past giants to those who wish to know.

    I think this is a niche topic where history is used in business. Not nany people even know about it or would like it but i find this personally helpful.

      @@costofglory Excellent. Just discovered your channel, might try to go next year if you're doing it.

    This might be a dumb question but why is it a men's retreat?

    • @costofglory
      @costofglory  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

      Not a dumb question! It's a move to try to reconstruct the Roman learning environment, which was single gender.

      @@costofglory So it's like a historical reenactment? I just get the feeling if you did leave it open to women, only dudes would sign up anyways lol. I honestly am not the person who would get upset or angry if someone excludes a gender. But whenever it happens it is enough to pause and wonder what the motivation is and just make sure you aren't chilling with a bunch of misogynists / incels or misandrists if it was women. Idk what the equivalent of an incel is for women but femcel seems dumb. Women statistically don't usually go on killing sprees, they just are the annoying friend you have to put up with occasionally when dating a chick. But back to my point what benefit does it have to make it a men's retreat instead of just saying "women weren't allowed to do this back then" and just allowing them if any actually sign up? I mean if they are gonna act like a jackass and try to make everything about modern social issues sure kick them out or whatever but that would go the same way if I signed up and hypothetically did the same and just ruined the experience that others paid good money for.
      Just my two cents feel free to ignore it.
