I was at Dickens' house in Oct. of 1986. We had a personal tour guide back then. I remember the narrow staircase. I was so fascinated with the inks and quills. I now have my own published book. My rough copies were all done by ink and quill. Thank you for what you do. I live in a small village called Creston, British Columbia, Canada.
Sinead, my friend...tyvm for the tour, was very relaxing and calming....as always, you never cease to amaze me with you definite knowledge and expertise...have a great day and week my beautiful, classy friend!!!
What beautiful arvhitecture, Sinead. Thank you for taking me to a part of London that I have not experienced before. Those lovely Squares and townhomes!! Wonderful, as always.
I went to the Charles dickens museum . It was very plain there were no displays like you saw . I was so overwhelmed to think he had actually sat at that desk and all the things on display . ❤️
My dear Sinead, what a wonderful tour... It was magnificent to see the Dickens's Museum and the graveyard... What a great job, my gorgeous dame in black! Thanks for your explanations and your kisses! See you soon, lots of love and friendship from Barcelona. A big kiss for you, Sinead, I ❤ you! 💋💋💋💋💋
Thank you Sinead, the history regarding the body snatching was so interesting, I love anything involving true crime!! I also love books, so a perfect video for me lol. Look forward to the next one. Much love from New Zealand x
Hi Sinead! I'm glad you enjoyed the Charles Dickens museum. I did visit there too on o n e of my London trips over 10 years ago. One of the things I remember was learning what a copper was from touring in the kitchen area. I hope you do make time to visit it again
What a beautiful area and a wonderful video. I always connect Virginia Woolf and her friends with Bloomsbury. I've never seen it before. Thanks so much! Fascinating!
I was to the Dickens museum on my first trip to London many moons ago I luv Dickens and have read most of his books even when I didn’t hav too As always Sinead I also learn more and more from your tours and I thank you muchly
This is excellent, thank you so much. I am definitely going to the Charles Dickens museum next time we come. I am from Portsmouth and lived very close to the Charles Dickens Birthplace Museum. I've also been to Chatham and Rochester, which are full of Dickens history. Bloomsbury isn't an area I know very well, apart from the British Museum, so I'm looking forward to your next video!
Omgoodness the Charles Dickens museum was so cool! I need to read more of his work. I love these beautiful neighborhoods you go to. Thank you for another incredible video Sinead!❤
Thank you so much for another great video Sinead. You take us to such captivating and atmospheric places ...and what beautiful words written on the wall - very thought provoking and you read them with such feeling ❤️
Having lived in Bloomsbury for many years, there is plenty of resource material available to create some very good videos about the literary figures and eccentrics who called the area their home for many years as well. May I suggest you start with the website of the Bedford Estate to learn more about the area? There are a few tours like yours sniffing around Bloomsbury now but yours could be the best with the more interesting stories than Charles Dickens who lived all over the place. But...the live Christmas Carol reading by candlelight there in the house you visited by is spectacular!
Hi Patrick Thank you for these wonderful suggestions I absolutely agree with regards to the literary figures and eccentrics , and am currently immersed in the world of The Bloomsbury Group by Frances Spalding The beauty for me in London is the opportunity to at all times to expand my knowledge , experience and understanding of every corner of this incredible City and it may take a lifetime but in my opinion that is time well spent I will revisit in the future and am always delighted with suggestions and recommendations from Londoners like yourself so thank you for taking the time to comment Christmas Carol by candlelight hope to see you there Sinead

Sinead, love your channel, watch it with anticipation…. I’ve travelled to the UK many times, and one visit included the Dickens museum… was so interesting… BTW Charles Dickens GREAT GREAT GRANDSON Gerald Dickens has a one man presentation of A Christmas Carol he performs here in the US.. I’ve seen it at least 5 times and always look forward to it each year during the Christmas holiday season… Keep up the amazing channel…. Cheers
@@ToursbyFootLondon Thank you for getting back to me... Have you ever heard or know about Gerald Dickens back in the UK.. I believe he still lives there or frequents trips back to the UK...
I wouldn’t be concerned about those streets being overwhelmed by tourists. 80% these days just visit for Instagram photos of themselves standing in front of an iconic London landmark, e.g. Elizabeth Tower (aka Big Ben) London Eye, Piccadilly Circus, Westminster Abbey, Tower of London and a few others. Thanks for the walk, a part of London I like very much.
You are such am amazing person your knowledge is so great !!! I love hearing you given the great information about beautiful London spot on god bless you 🙏
