I like how the characters act normally when Schuichi contradicts them in this event and they don't say "WHAT THE HELL HOW DID U READ MY MIND???"
Some of the characters in the previous two games do react to that, if I remember correctly, but everyone else talks as usual as if the protag never invaded their personal thoughts... Guess they're just used to it.

According to wikipedia, if it's not cut right...the eater may die from suffocation, so maybe that's why Kirumi feels such pressure.
Well if I was Kirumi I would tell the one I'm serving that they should be sure to chew the konjac or they might die as a countermeasure.
