This coaster was absolutely amazing before they built Helix (the dark green coaster in the video). It was so well integrated into the ladscape it was unbelievable. Anton Schwarzkopf truly was a genious and this was his "crown of creation". Not an intense ride by any extent, but the ride is so immaculately well-crafted it's a dream to ride. The Liseberg hill used to be heavily forested, and during the construction process of the ride they cut down only like two trees. When Mack Rides built Helix they sadly had to remove a lot of the trees. It's not the same anymore, but it was the first roller coaster I rode, and the second best I ever rode after Helix, and it will always hold a special place in my heart. Schwarzkopf truly was a genious.
Same thing has happened at SDC with their presumed mack Rides coaster being built next to Thunderation which is a Mine Train themed coaster that "flew thru the woods" in a similar manner.
Schwarzkopf actually built much better coasters than this. His rides usually had up to 6 (even 6,5) g, which you hardly have on any coasters today, however intense they claim to be.
I love this roller coaster, when we where here i went on it 7 times, my favourite rollercoaster, the speed, the airtime, the shake, the just so good feeling going down the first drop, this is not something you wanna miss
For anyone who hasn't ridden this coaster; It is actually very gentle. The perception of speed is quite high at times, but the rolls and banks are very pleasant. The only complaint are the brakes at the very end, which can cause a minor thrust forward of the spine and neck. Nothing serious, but it is a slightly rough end to an otherwise smooth ride. All in all though, I highly recommend it. And because it is a staple ride of the park, the lines are seldom longer than 10 minutes.
Alright, I know this is a weird comment, but I noticed both this and Helix have very similar helices right next to each other (2:17) cool, but weird. I really wanna go here someday.
Well, the two rides are generally interwoven to a certain extent. If you ride Helix you will see parts of the track of the Lisebergsbanan as you go and vice versa. The park is quite limited to space so when they make new roller coasters they either tear an old one down (like Looper and Hangover) or put them around each other.
I'm one of the rare people who think it would have been great. All forested in by now and with the dueling element. Three lifts! 'course if we got Nemesis instead of it then fair beans but it doesn't seem like they couldn't have built both.
i was working at the year in Liseberg and it was not open in that time cause it opens 11:00 and some of the roller coasters are activated then but as Helix... Kanonen and Atmosfear was close same was the others that is on the top but the rest did go normal time when the park is opening... this one was a a pure test thing that was on and if it is a special guest that is from a company they can start it earlyer then... same with Helix or what ever it is
When it was launched in 1987 it was the longest roller coaster in Europe with its 1.3km long track so bare in mind it's old. But despite the age its a very pleasant experience and it's genuinely exciting everytime you ride it, a true classic :)
+Mr_Swedish Liseberg isn't suposed to be one of the best theme parks in the world, but it's still great fun! Also why are you called Mr Swedish if you doesn't like Liseberg. EVERYONE in Sweden loves Liseberg.

Love this coaster. Nice "fixed position" video. Thanks for the share!
this should have been called helix
LMAO
There is another ride much bigger and funnier called helix
stoopid
Hahahaha they should’ve just switched the names
can agree
Great POV! I love how the track is Schwarzkopf-style! :)
Apart from Flumeride, This roller coaster is my absolute favorite at Liseberg.
I will miss schwartzkopf. His rides were unlike any other
This one it’s SO FUNNY I LOVE LISEBERG!
Beautiful! :-)
Its even better when you are on it
It's looking pretty sweet!
Amazing ride! And different too 😃
How come this ranked above Kumba last year on Amusement Today? Is it because of how smooth it is and how it's integrated into the terrain?
Yeah and how long it is
And lapbar
It doesn't loop? Yes! I want to go for a ride!
Neither does Millennium Force or Top Thrill Dragster. Want to go for a ride on those?
Yes. Advantage, me. I'm 2 hours from Cedar Point. Halloweekends this year!
I used to loop until chronic vertigo set in. Now, it's off my list :(
IronMaiden756 chronic vertigo or did you find yourself watching final destination 3 again?
rct3sweed Definitely chronic vertigo :'(
Gotta love that funny looking Schwarzkopf rail. This is going on my bucket list
I was at Liseberg yesterday and this one is funny :D
the flute just sounds so stressed out like are you ok flute?

If I would describe this roller coaster: it is like colossus on Thorpe park without any loops!
This is the oldest roller coaster that is left on liseberg!
Well the problem is... Colossus' main feature are the loops/inversions.
It seems to take the same path over and over again.
It doesn't, it is just that each "track" is close to each other
Me and my best friend are scared of rollercoasters but we promised each other to ride this. We thought we would die
that looks fun. I would ride that
This ride is on my bucket list!
Anthony Martinez so have you been on it or still no?
No!!!!
Anthony Martinez are you planning on going to it?
I wish. So far away...
I can’t believe a rollercoaster like this was meant to be built at Alton Towers
I'm one of the rare people who think it would have been great. All forested in by now and with the dueling element. Three lifts! 'course if we got Nemesis instead of it then fair beans but it doesn't seem like they couldn't have built both.
Den är fett rolig att åka asså , gilla om ni håller med
lol
horn "HWAA HWAA!"
Is this coaster smooth?
Twinythingies Yes, very smooth.
Hevedan yes, it is
Not that smooth, but good for the age! (Ive been on it about 56845414685446 times (I live in sweden and has gone on it every year alot of times XD)
but its so scary but you cant be scared when you watching the video.
you have to prov it
rorohaxlrbest man it's a kid coaster
Not really... This coaster is 45 meters high, 80 km/h fast und have 3G's.
i played this game in 2014 like this time on the video
omg yes
if its not a game what is it
This ride is surprisingly forceful :-)
What a rush!
It's one one the best Best Mine Train Coaster in The World and The best in Sweden
Lisberg express
this one is just a test so it works fine... couse normaly it is faster then what it went on this video
i was working at the year in Liseberg and it was not open in that time cause it opens 11:00 and some of the roller coasters are activated then but as Helix... Looks fun but, I'm afraid of heights.
Is it just me or is this really high?
The Ride Expert yes IT is tall, becuse IT uses the terrain, ITs one of the tallest cosasters in europe
King Master It is? I had no idea, and I even used to work at Liseberg when I was younger.
*Is that all it is?? 😯😐 Don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful location though!*
When it was launched in 1987 it was the longest roller coaster in Europe with its 1.3km long track so bare in mind it's old. But despite the age its a very pleasant experience and it's genuinely exciting everytime you ride it, a true classic :)

Gris Power Liseberg IS one of the best parks in the world. Helix is amazing. Balder is amazing. THIS is amazing. They're adding Valkyria next year!
It’s a family coaster I guess
Honestly i hate this f*cking coaster
