It’s true, the little things a parent does Carrie’s a weight of tenderness as few other thing can compare. Whenever I spoke with my mother on the phone she would always, without fail, end the call with . . . I Love You Dear. That ‘dear’ at the end would bring me closer to tears the older I became. Now that she’s gone I miss those four simple words more than I can ever say. Even more so as I’m a single gay man and have been most of my 61 yrs, add to that that I now have terminal cancer with less than 1 yr left and as you can imagine, I’m damn lonely. So that would make those tender moments with Mom all the more meaning. It also makes me extremely grateful for her and all the many blessings I’ve had in my life.
We are in the same boat, our stories are similar except, for I didn't have loving parents no fond memories on that side, but I made my own while I lived on this Earth. May your days be blessed.
I have a small😊 if I may, get a big piece of plastic.. and use it to put around a certain area so not to spray on any other of your furniture or rocks when spraying paint when you're doing those projects 😌 you can always take it down and use it again.. when your pain in your chest of drawers or chairs etc... So not to get paint stain in anything around there... Your home is becoming beautiful (A NEW)

Agreed. Made me sick to my stomach wondering about the future of the snapping turtle and the small tortoises living in that back yard. The whole time I was watching that video it was on my mind and made me want to stop watching. Looked like no future.😢
When doing our yard, we also look for plants in abandoned woods where houses use to be after Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Also by overpasses there are a lot of ferns. I love to search for different kinds of plants. We live in the state of Mississippi in the southern United States of America. Doing a great job n is going to be beautiful.
I recommend having your precious little girl read books and not have a phone yet. Or limit her time on it. I love the refurbished mahogany furniture. So elegant. Your windows are astounding. The gardw0en is one I would love to see I have been married more than 50 years.
I am upset at the way you’ve treated your turtle. Instead of telling it to die, because you don’t want it, why don’t you set it free in a place that will make it happy. If you was a turtle, would you like to be treated so cruelly, as you are treating it. Remember that you create karma, and it will come back to you. Be kind to it. If it is biting you, then maybe he is angry or sick or in pain and wants to be set free. You have treated it so badly that you probably need to take it to a veterinarian as it looks terribly sick after you tried to drown it, poor thing. 😮😢😢😢

Such beautiful plants flowers.. but I would just buy things that I can eat from or drink like a flower for tea... All those are beautiful to.. but because of the way things are I would just buy things that can go to use for cooking eating and drinking😊
You should have shown the inside of the home if it were livable. Fixing the garden first makes us think you’re living in squallier, but your garden looks nice!
Why have you taken this turtle if you didn't know how to take care of it? I feel disgusted with the treatment you gave it!!!! All your effort in making this garden "presentable" as you say, it is nothing renewable compared to the way you treated the poor animal. I wish you took it back to where it belongs to please!

Also about the turtle will survive in any area. We have them in our backyard. Also the little one is going to be fine it will eat bugs. I am 77 years old and I have been through a divorce I know you’re going through a hard time. But you’re right the family is what matters.

@wiseowl5869 yes...we have them near the Gulf Coast inland waterways...it's their natural reflex...the can't help it....their tongue looks like a worm...and they move it like "noodling" to attract the fish. Can't stand to see any animal abused outside it's natural habitat. Humans can be very cruel and stupid.
Excuse me are there any plants that you know of that keep away mosquitoes ?? I don't know but if you have some I would put around the pond... So when there's water the flies will try to come and lay eggs or bother you when you're out there in your beautiful garden 😊

All what you did in the yard is beautiful, but the treatment of the turtle, that one does not belong in your yard, is to big for the fish pond, and dangerous to anyone who is close to its mouth, the small turtle is fine it can go in the fish pond but you need to pile some rock in the bottom for it to bask in the sun for time to time, other than that, you did an excellent job.

The fish will take care of the mosquitoes we use goldfish In our rain barrels.
