Husqvarna 340 Chainsaw Low Power

Customer complaint is that his Husqvarna 340 chainsaw is suddenly low on power. I'll show you what to look for and how to repair it. These techniques work equally well on Stihl and Echo saws too.

I will have to see if my 340 has that spark arrestor, I suspect it never had one but mine is a Europe spec. machine. It is low on power and won't tickover after about 5 minutes use.

A spark arrestor screen blockage is a pretty consistent problem, meaning if its clogged then its clogged from the start and you wouldn't get that 5 minutes use. I'd look at the condition of the cylinder first.
