Love your channel had my 04 tl for 7 years now I love it can’t wait to supercharge it but I’m going m90 route thanks for this nice upgrade advice time to go to pick and pull for me
I think on these na engines as the oil gets hotter and easier to flow, and the pistons and rings expand to become efficient that's why we can see more power on the second pull.
If you need bigger injectors we have TONS in stock and ready to go! Motorwest Performance inc. mention your TH-cam channel and we can work something out 🤘🏻
great video! Love seeing back to back dynos after each mod. looking forward to future videos, especially with the gerzybear supercharged. I have one on my J37 swapped manual type s. your motor is extremely healthy for 170k miles! youll be making 400-425wp with that stage 1 kit no problem. edit: Just saw youre going with comptech. will wake up the car too. usually see 330-350 from those
"extremely healthy for 170k miles" I laughed a lil out loud, These things last a million miles if cared for properly. 170k is just barely broke in! th-cam.com/video/ochlLnzMzcI/w-d-xo.html
Have the same tl as u 06 with a six speed as a daily love it. The low torque is much better than my eg with a k swap. Even though the k is still a little faster. Keep up the good work! Love the vids!
Looks good man awsome job. U could do a good port job n possiblity for little more power. Polish isn't always necessary. Good port causes more turbulence and makes for a better air fuel mixture.
Yea I cleaned up the inside of the manifold but the throttle being a j32 and not the j37 hindered some of my power but it pulls harder on top end either way haha
@@TexasHondaChannel if it's smaller throttle just do a gasket match to the intake manifold and leave if u port the intake to head u can gasket match all that as well just leave it rough don't polish it. It'll make more turbulence n better air fuel mix for better burn n power. But ur doing supercharger so a port and polish may be beneficial since it's gonna be force induction
Yea for sure! Just gotta do fuel pump throw in 410cc RDX injectors and get it tuned. I got the J pipe on since this video but that’s coming out on Monday.
How did you keep your dash looking so clean?!? My 06 Acura TL looks great on the outside but my tan interior looks ragged (I've been buying pieces off ebay to wrap all tan plastic pieces and replace my seats) I must say I love how it sounds in those higher rpms!
Or if you got a line a D16Y8 I can easily throw in my 99 Civic ill bite, gotta get back on road, I drove with my head leaking until It looked like my car was on fire one day, and behold the rad was bone dry, and the over flow was melting. So yeah, but the engine didn't stutter, or chug or anything like the old V8 I had did when she got hot.
Bro. Can you please post more particular detailed information on where to find these intake manifolds. I don't think the Honda Odyssey is the correct vehicle. I called the salvage yard yesterday. They looked for me. Send pictures. And it did not have the bypass butterfly valve on the opposite end of the throttle body. Please name the vehicles or even the specific part number for what I would be looking for. That forum post wasn't that clear either. Please. Thank you
@@TexasHondaChannel So im guessing 3.7 swap from an RL and 3.7 heads would do? Im trying to do this when i replace the timing belt and water pump, and adjust the valves..what do you suggest?
Hey bro when you got sell this HMU. I would have bought the orange civic, it I could've left that day to go pick up or a month from then have it delivered.
What's the engine rpm on the hit on the dyno ? From the looks of it the j35/37 manifold is definitely making more torque down low then leveling out to about stock at redline . I'd be willing to bet a set of titanium retainers and a TLs cam that j pipe and a tune would probly crowd the hell outta 300whp
The top end definitely felt better without a doubt if I threw the j37 throttle on it would have laid down a few more ponies but the j32 is already programmed and works fine for now. Once the supercharger goes in it’s gonna be fun. The j pipe is on new video Monday
Awesome numbers! Do you recommend porting/knife edging the throttle body for more throttle response/power? I’m in the process of modding my 2017 Accord. Thanks.
Yup 👍🏻 it broke off 4 out of 5 is better than none lol 😂 the stock lug nut seized on and broke when I did the brakes so have to get new stud and my new lug nut will strip if I put it on and they didn’t have any studs in stock. I have drove a 4 lug civic on 2 lugs per wheel for a month I been in some real shot boxes man this one is solid. It will be fixed soon enough.
@@timothyhockett7104 yea for sure just it bugs me and was waiting for someone to point it out 🤦🏻♂️. It’s all good though it will be fixed soon enough haha
Crazy how you did 238/212 on ur TL with just intake, I have a 7g accord with the same engine & with only rv6 jpipe & ported runners I did 237/221, I make more torque but I thought I’d think the rv6 jpipe would’ve also given me more power than the amount of power and intake does, maybe the jpipe has more gains in torque than hp showing I made 10 more torque than you.
Well, the 7g accord has a J30 and the base TL has a 3.2. It’s about a 30-40 hp difference depending on transmission. So, it makes sense with some of your bolt ons, you are about the same power level.
@@TheEvilTwinCG2 you should look up the vehicle stats buddy lol these cars literally are tested and comes stock at 225 horsepower for a 2003 Acura TL base model. Lol how do you not even know the stock hp of a car before you buy one🤣🤣🤣🤣

Those are very respectful numbers. That

Up from 235 & 215..., not bad...you should do the Y pipe then tune it before the s/c...you will be surprised.
Already did the J pipe up front just gonna give this video time to get views. Already a big difference since this video.
sweet lord music to my ears when the vtec kicks in!
Nice bro already coming along greatly! Keep up the great content and thank you for making it.

I'm building a base tl auto. Just curious did you have the intake manifold spacer or throttle body spacer from p2r installed with the new parts?
Any idea what year more or less the odyssey was you removed manifold from ?

No tunning?
What year and model for the intake manifold
And I was thinking it should make 245 before the dyno run just because of intake bore size
So you have to have it tune with that intake manifold?, I just wanna make sure on that, I couldn't tell you said that in the video or not.
