I had a strong suspicion that Blue Star buses might be a part of The Go-Ahead group from Newcastle upon Tyne. Just like the East Rider buses in Hull they are immaculately maintained and very modern vehicles.
I wouldn't be surprised if we were to see more of these wee laybys in the bigger towns and cities around the UK. Putting bus stops in ar separate wee independent laybys of their own, thereby keeping the main floor of traffic moving and not holding it up unnecessarily.
@@EurasiaTransportExplorer Pretty much the same a lot more development now of course and the road systems in Winchester and Southampton have changed due to road closure and one way streets.
I think I can see what you are doing my friend, You are slowly working your way along the South Coast of England/UK with your current bus journeys. And of course this is probably the best time to get this sort of area, before the mad rush of summer begins and temperatures are still quite reasonable. I remember just how high temperatures got last July, too high for this country - not really designed for 40°C or over, dried out the greenery and grass at the roadsides - not good.
That’s true. Now has plenty of sunshine, with temperatures around 16, which is very ideal for travel. Soon later we get into summer and temperature begins to grow, it can be extremely hot when in the bus under the sun.
@@EurasiaTransportExplorer that's maybe the time to do journeys in and around Inverness or Glasgow. But you are right, plenty of fresh air going around just now and not too many screaming brats either making it much more pleasant than the highs of July and August. I do enjoy the Spring and the Autumn in the UK.
Terrific trip. But quality not up to your better standards. Blurry focus and flickering images (2 per sec). You have done better than this before. Tx anyway

Used to ride this route in the '60s, Hants & Dorset number 47 Bristol Lodekka
Wow, was the route in the 60s similar to how it is nowadays?

How come two Bluestar 1 services were running together? Was one running late? The normal service interval is every 20 mins on a weekday.
Yes, one of the service was delayed significantly. So the two work back to Southampton together.
Great video. Shame you recommend a video from Southampton that's private so can't favourite 🤷♂️
£2 fare well spent
