I used to watch Nightmare Before Christmas at Halloween and XMAS but now, I don’t do much. Will finally watch Coco as it’s about dia de las muertos and I’ll watch Sabrina on Netflix, lol Most Halloween events in games suck but Fortnitemares last year was amazing and while I am so sick of both Fortnite STW and BR, I’ll try Fortnitemares 2 out.

I own both of these games on Vita and on Switch and I can say if you're into Japanese horror and RPG Maker style horror games which are focused on lore and exploration than these games are absolutely deserving of your attention. The amount of detail and content on offer is amazing and the story being told in both games is heart wrenching. If more horror games had this much heart put into them, they'd probably be way more popular than they currently are.

The artstyil makes the games really beautiful at times and makes some of the area pop in detail like I'm looking at colored pencil drawing of some kind its really cool in my opinion
I’m so glad I didn’t get this on the Vita, now I can get the combo for the switch!! This is right up my alley. Also, on your suggestion Glen I bought ‘Detention’ and got in trouble because I started screaming in the passenger seat from a jump scare while my bf was driving. Thanks a lot! 🙀😜

Awesome review. I had missed hearing about these titles. This time of year always makes me reminisce for the days of Eternal Darkness or the older Alone in the Dark Games.
I remember playing eternal darkness and the volume turning itself down (it even had the same volume meter my tele had). Took me ages to work out it was the game tricking me. It then told me my data had been deleted another time and I fell for it again! Great game. Glen

The art style looks really nice. I would love to play this game but i seriously don't like horror. Even if it isn't scary at all. I seriously hated some scary parts in metroid prime 3. The little part that was shown with the sound already scares the hell out of me.
Bless you buddy, while I wouldn't say Yomawari is a scary game I can be a very unsettling one. These games absolutely thrive on atmosphere and it carries throughout the entire game. You seem like someone who appreciates the story, I'd recommend looking up a play through as the story is really worth experiencing to know what's going on.
usually a weeks worth of monster and thriller movies and i always try to have a couple scary adventures. nothing fabricated or payed for but an adventure that gets me out of my comfort zone.
i never played this upon it's first release. i am surprised because this looks to be right up my alley. i love the mix of horror and cute. i think it's a match made in heaven. kind of like little kids cussing. you know it's wrong but it's just so damn funny and cute. anyways... i will definitely be getting this. the switch is such a good platform for it too.
I think if the game was frustrating the banging and groaning would scared my brother, so in a way, still get something out of it, Jaja, but seriously I prefer wait for a sale, maybe $30, I like that it's just not horror but it has a story backing it up, I can see that it could be frustrating but in those cases I would look up a guide, hopefully not spoiling myself the story, I like the style of the game, and the gameplay seems like a lot of fun for me, thanks for the review and hope you have a wonderful day :)
Just snagged this on switch from estarland with some trade credit last copy this game has blown up in price physically for some reason I guess because of the whole up tick in vita collecting.

It actually REALLY helps you know when a monster is coming near and it adds a ton of tension. It is one of my favorite aspects about the game.
