I first saw this as a kid in 1969. Loved it. I wish they would give this movie a proper release on DVD. Wish I could do a remake. How about the following.: Mel Gibson as the Dutchman, Antonio Banderas as Luis, Liam Neeson as captain augustus, Jet Li or Jacky Chan as the Samurai, and Dewayne Johnson as Mesito!!!
Interesting that the Italian titles credit Zingarelli as director (rather than Don Taylor) and acknowledge Bruno Nicolai's contribution to the (excellent) score alongside Morricone.
