ASSAM AND NAGALAND ADMINISTRATION TUSSLE OVER A LAND IN NAGALAND AS EVICTION DRIVE CONTINUES IN DUDU

The eviction drive by Assam administration which started on December 20 and was supposed to last for only one day, is still continuing till Friday. Protest is still going on against the eviction drive.
On December 20, Assam government carried out an eviction drive at Dudu Colony situated at Karbi Anglong - Nagaland border. The eviction drive was carried out by a team of CRPF and police personnel against 106 families who were living there illegally. Dibakar Nath, DC of Karbi Anglong, Assam, Pushpraj Singh, SP of Karbi Anglong and many other officials were present during the eviction drive. The district administration has also imposed Section 144 CrPC to maintain peace during the eviction
