This road is one of the steepest incline in Nagaland,I have ever driven past. RISKS In some spots, the angle of the road is not less than 35-40°. Also there are atleast 2 sharp turnings with a radius of less than 6 metres. There is also place where two small cars can hardly cross. There is no railing on any side of the road. There are vertical cliffs both above and below the whole stretch of the road. AVOID this road unless it is too urgent and if your car is not in good condition. MAKE SURE Your car engine pulls well. You have a good braking system. Your car is not fully loaded. Your tyre is not worn out. Your clutch disc does not slip. You have extra fuel since the road demand more fuel than on normal road. Do not travel if your driver is a learner.
Try going that road, you will know. I had to go to Niuland because of some emergency but kaan dhurishe. Cane back from pimla road... Much easy.. Not going there until it is black topped@@kezo6130

Even poor balancing of clutch and gas pedal can be disastrous on this road.
I really pity the Dimapur/Chumu/Niuland traffic police. Roads are so dusty and they have to stand in the thick of it all and inhale the dust. I'm sure many of them are unhealthy. They'll easily contract asthma and other lung problems. Unsung heroes.
I'm glad we have such a talented reporter. In my personal opinion, the only issue is the lack of a wireless mic. I believe the organization should consider investing in one. Using a wireless mic would allow him to move around more freely without the hassle of dealing with the mic's cable.
