I make my milk soaps this way too. I prefer this way. I firmly believe the benefits of the milk are more existent with this process rather than creating a lye solution with the milk (just my thoughts lol). Love the soap. I can just imagine the smell!

Hi Holly, I was thinking about you almost to the end of January wondering when was you coming back. Here we are seeing you making beautiful soaps. I like lavender blends but I like the soft lavender those are great.
Your purple had some ripples that looks cool and with that soft green was beautiful. The best part is those 2 colors are my favorite.
Your stick blender isn’t working properly, because you left it all alone for so long 😂 . We have ALL missed you, happy you’re back!

Lavender Mint sounds pretty good. I don't like lavender all by itself. Might try that one.

I think it turned out great! I agree with you to go with the flow, especially at this time when so much in the world and in all our lives has been unpredictable and difficult, there's no need to add any extra stress to that. Really pretty soap Holly and I bet it smells amazing x

Ho Holly! It is a beautiful blend! I've used it myself. Mine kinda smells like a chocolate mint of some sort. Probably from the Cocoa Butter. I love the colors! We switched to only using Mad Micas about 5 years ago. They are an awesome company. Shipping is so fast, if I order Monday morning, it's here Wednesday afternoon. The color saturation is incredible on all their micas. I also switched to Snow White Mica, instead of TD, I was tired of fighting with excellerated trace. I can't wait to see your next release!

Beautiful! As always ! 🖤 I never ever use titanium dioxide. I know this sounds dumb but I was always afraid of adding to much. I now know that’s not likely to do cause u don’t need that much of it. But I always use Snow White by MadMicas. It’s my favorite white. My soap batter is on the yellow side in its natural state and with the Snow White mica it makes the white milk white. It’s kinda like TD I learned that it looks off white but as the soap sets up it is literally milk white. And it’s shimmers it’s so beautiful. They have a couple other whites that are nice but Snow White is a true white milk white. I have to say I love watching other soapers make soap.

Also that purple is almost the exact color of my hair! Lol!
Do you notice it making more air bubbles since it started making the noise? My kitchen aid stick blender started making a funky rattling noise like that and I think maybe there's a seal where the blade is that went out on it. It the only thing I could think of because it otherwise works fine but it quiet loud now and makes air bubbles something awful.
I haven't. It seems to be working fine. It just makes a racket.

Beautiful. You always do a great job even when it’s unexpectedly hard to work with! Are you steering away from fragrances or did you just feel drawn to essential oils for these first two batches, if you don’t mind me asking. I’m always torn between the two. I love essential oils, but the cost and the longevity of them is hard to justify. I bet this combo smells amazing!
I would probably use essential oils more often but they aren't quite as popular as the fragrances. I often make more natural soaps at the beginning of the year. It's a nice change after the holidays.
Holly! I love watching your pack and chats (im currently watching pack & chat holiday edition from 2019 i believe) & i would assume talking to a camera for so long would be boring have you ever thought about live streaming your pack and chats?

What do you do with your old stick blenders? Since I assume they still would work for normal use.
I may keep using them. I will just try not to use them on video.

I used a blend from eocalc.com.
If you had used blue instead of green it would look kind of like a lavander field. As is, the purple looks like mountains
My brain has been on slow mode this week and i couldnt figure out what would be green in lavender and mint.......then it hit me oh yes mint is green.
Hi Holly, Can you use vegan milks too eg soy, almond etc ? Would you use the same recipe for soap frosting as well as the soap bar?
I haven't experimented with those milks. You might look into Anne-Marie Faiola's book about milk soapmaking.
I have piped using my regular recipe.

Curious, does this smell like Aveda hair products? I'm trying to dup their scent..
I haven't smelled them so I don't know for sure. I think many of the suppliers do have dupes but they are likely fragrances.
Can really any of your soap get ugly? I do not believe it!
Another beautiful soap Holly, I love the shades of purple, it's like a graduation, you have inspired me to try essential oil blends, I'd buy some of your soaps if the shipping weren't so expensive to the UK.💜💚
