And yeah on the country thing I definitely agree one country is easier. Or even those regional style trios you were mentioning where you stop in the layovers when connecting. Makes the admin a lot easier. I traveled Europe in 2015 and 2018 and enjoyed it like crazy being able to bounce around from country to country through the ease of the EU rail system but I've probably enjoyed trips where I went to one country more especially when I did trips in Asia or in Africa where you just dig in and explore one country. I'm yet to do South America though. Been wanting to for years now but haven't had the chance. But yeah both got pros and cons depending on whether you really wanna explore a country or if you tryna just do a quick few days then hop to the next country do another few days then hop to another etc where you have to cram everything closer together in terms of itinerary
