Last year I completely rebuilt the suspension on my W124. Of all the work I have done to that car, the suspension rebuild made the biggest difference. Along with new Michelin tires, it seemed like I was driving a new car!
Thanks Kent for the videos, tools, and advice. They all have come in handy over the past 8 years for me. Did this job on my '82 300D this past April. The spring removal was the scariest part. One point to note on the compressor tool, if you get a non-name brand tool you may have to open up the access hole in the car to get it too fit. Plate position on the spring is also important to get the spring compressed enough to remove. Once its out though the rest of the job is straightforward and you will notice quit a bit of difference in handling, and in my case elimination of squeaks.
Very happy to see you offering this kit. Just purchased these parts (all lemfoerder) from another vendor after coming to your store and at that time you didn't have it in a kit like this. I have several more cars that will need this in very near future so will check on availability from you. You keep us keeping our cars going and for that I am very grateful.
Something like this would have been fantastic when I had my 240D's. Hopefully I can find another 123 someday. It was always obvious to me that any of them with 40 plus years and high miles should have suspension refreshes done.

I had my upper control arms and ball joints replace a few years ago; I wanted to have the other suspension parts replaced, but my shop only wanted to replace the "bad" parts. I know the shop may be trying to avoid running up a large repair bill, but I wish I could find a shop that would do the work that I want done, and not just "fix it". What would be wrong with the mechanic giving me the option to do a full suspension restoration if wanted to spend the money to do that? If I had the tools and expertise, I would do everything myself.
